back in sept i did a trade on here and the person took forever to respound.the last time i had heard from him was november.im just wondering if there is anything i can do?i still have his address and have thought of sending him a letter.im sort of thinking there is nothing i can do but it doesnt hurt asking.

ive edited this to include what happened:

back in sep bluecollarninja was asking for trades for his extra akuma street fighter controller.once i asked him what dreamcast games he was looking for i told him i had bangai-o and marvel vs capcom 2 for trade.he seemed interested in both so was willing to send the controller plus $15 for both of them.i asked if he could just pick up another akuma controller at blockbuster instead of sending the $15.he told me that he already did pick up extras so he would send me both controllers if i sent him the two games plus $10. he said since i wasnt on the traders board for feedback i should send first since he had been burned before.since this was my first and only trade on here i thought that seemed fair.this was around sept 15 that i was told to send the items out.
once he recieved the items he send me a IM telling me he got them and to expect my tracking number soon.i really wish i still had his IM name now.on OCT 10th he pms me after i ask where they are telling me he needs my address again.on OCT 25th he tells me his friend was just in a car accedient that day and they will go out soon.on NOV 14th he tells me that stuff keeps coming up and that he is throwing in an extra $20 for my troubles.i havent recieved any replys since then.

You can file for Mail Fraud charges. I've never done it before, but I'm sure someone can fill you in on how to do it.

Is the individual still posting here?

We've got a feedback forum where you can leave the details of your transaction for this user. I'm also curious to hear who it is.

Also a good idea is to post the details and his email address and name and all that stuff on the newsgroups so google will archive it and other people can find the info easily by doing a search.I use google all the time to check on trade parters. If we all do this then it will make it a safer place to trade.

And don't forget to pist detail in The Feedback Forum (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=44) so others don't get burned by him/her. That's why we started it - to give folks a chance to warn others and/or tell of good traders.

I have been burned before. It sucks bad.

The only thing I could do was to post about it in the good/bad traders thread (back before it was it's own forum).

Now I don't even do business with somebody unless they have some sort of feedback from here or eBay or somewhere of that nature.

Edit this topic stating his user name and name in it asking where he is like they did with dave reinquest. Good luck

That is how I deal too. I think you really should make sure this person is honest, and that they either have alot of posts or good ebay feedback. It also helps to get to know a few people, so you can make trades with them and really trust them.

i had done a trade with him before (way back when i believe) and everything seemed to go fine. Maybe something really did come up. He used to post quite often and regularly. Hope you get your stuff man :(

being burned is bad, esp. on your first transaction here in the B & S Forum. Don't hesitate to buy from the more reputible buyers or traders here, just remember one bad apple doesn't mean the whole batch is spoiled.

I've dealt with BCN many times or atleast attempted to. I think we completed one deal and his MO was 2 weeks late and maybe another deal where it was a month late and then he responded with car troubles. Last time, I'm not sure what the deal was but I can say that he's not the most reliable person but with persistant PM's he will finally respond. Here's to hoping!

He's been MIA for a while now. He still owes me as well, but it's not for much. Last I heard, he had moved out of city with his gf at the time, they had a huge fight and he was moving back. He hasn't checked his pm's since November 19 as that is still in my outbox. I get the vibe that he didn't really intend to rip anyone off, but isn't all that organized or responsible with tthings.
