Satalilite hookup? This ain't TV ya know
now if you had a service called Direct TV DSL or Satilite DSL you could hook it up with the ethernet cable provided (catigory 5 cable and all..) though if you do that your going to get your ass kicked all over the place as Satilite DSL has a worse PING then a dial up as the signal has to travel into space to be routed.. sloooow.. Your ping will be over 500 milliseconds (or .5 of a second.. ouch) while I will be killing you from my fast, low ping, Cable modem ping of 30milliseconds.
regardless I refuse to pay a $50 fee to play games I've been playing on the PC for the last 6 years for free..

Not only that but satellite is expensive. In my area, the first year alone (including equipment) would add up to $1,300 ($100 now plus $100/mo or $700 now plus $50/mo and a penalty of $250 for cancellation before the first year) To add insult, satellite is prone to solar interference so during the peak cycle of sun spots, you would have intermitty connection. Heavy snow and rain can ruin the connection and tyou would have to go outside to clear the snow off the dish.
It's fine for TV or light internet use but not worth it for heavy action games. If you don't have cable or DSL, really bug someone until they would do it. You never know, it could happen.
I've tried. I'm still stuck on 56K because no one wanted to install 5 mile long cable or DSL connection through farms to my place, and I was offered personal T-1 line at $10,000 installation fee :o
