Nothing like a little knee surgery to give you time to finally post those game room pictures that have been kicking around your computer. And thanks to Joe for hosting the gallery...I've really enjoyed checking out the extended views of everyone's game rooms.

DAMN!!! Insane collection man! I love it when a collection is so huge, that no matter where you look in the room you are stairing at hundreds of games. LOL

That's a really impressive room. I'm sure that with all the action figures it's a real chore dusting everything :(

Although it's currently under repair, I inherited my stepladder...6'-9" in 6" heels LOL

what is that a neon moon?

i would hug and kiss for a mcdonalds neon open late mac-tonight sign.

I think it's a custom...got it for 10 bucks at a rummage sale. I didn't bother to light it up for the new pics, but it's lit up in the old one. (http://www.videogamecollectors.com/bubik6.jpg)

This is a fantastic collection! I wouldn't call it simply a gameroom anymore, slowly it becomes a game museum!

very impressive indeed, it looks like a library, except a library of games

Absolutely unbelievable! That's one of the most impressive collections I've ever seen. That's the exact type of set up I'm looking to do sometime down the road, wall to wall shelving in a den or basement or something set aside for the collection only.

Awesome...

I love the shelves..I really need something like that...
When you walk into my living room the game wall is overwelming..You don't see it until you walk in..then it runs along taking up the whole right wall
When you walk in the first thing you see is the cabs on the left, them the wall just hits you..
With the cabs there it sort of gives a tunnel effect..
There is no wall space..You can't see the wall anymore..

Some people think it's cool others are like WTF!!..Your nuts!!! @_@
My games are hitting the ceiling too
I do have to use a step ladder to get to the top ...
Moving stuff around up there I hit the ceiling and I bet the people upstairs are like"what the heck is he doing down there now!!".. LOL

I have no wall space either,I'm out of room...Everything has become doubled in front of other stuff now.
A lot of my stuff is just sitting in boxes because I have no more room.
Everything I get now has to be boxed and put away..
It has slowed me down a bit in Flea Market buys...I pass up a lot of cheap stuff I don't need now.
My entire Atari 7800 boxed game collection sits in boxes..It's never been out on display.....
I need to move...It sucks when you run out of room..

I'm considering using the left only unused wall now..With wall shelves.
There is not much space there but some..It's still not going to be enough.

... Funcoland price sheets..(cool)
I used to collect these myself..
I may have a few mixed in with gaming magazines from back in those days.
Something else I'd like to have on shelves.
If I ever come across the sheet you need I'll be sure to give it to you..

Are all of your shelving units custom made. I need something like the one holding the genesis games, please tell me you bought that somewhere.

Very cool collection. Everything is so neat and tidy and crammed in there, it looks very boss.

I think the thing I like the most is how all the games fit so neatly on the shelving.

I love everything! I also really like your collection of Funcoland price guides!!! I remember picking one up every month back in the N64 days. I had those things all over the place. I wonder if any are up for sale on ebay?

Dusting?…what’s that? (seriously, a quick blow or two when pulling out a game, more than takes care of housekeeping.)

wow very cool, what program did you use to make that quicktime movie.

That is an old Apple freeware program called “QT(Quicktime)VR Make Panorama 2.” Stick your digital camera on a tripod, take 24 images in a 360 degree circle, knit them together into a single image with Photoshop, run it through that program, and suddenly you’ve got a zoomable, rotatable, 360 image of your room!

Is that your avatar I see on the door? :P

Good eye! That image is from an old college newspaper anti-smoking ad…the thrust of which was “If you smoke, you’ve got your head up your ass!” I always thought it was hilarious, so when I needed an avatar for DP, I scanned it, colorized it, and it serves as an apt digital representation of myself to this day!

What kind of Godzilla figure is that, the one among the Mcfarlane 's?

It’s designed to shoot some sort of projectile out of the mouth (which I don’t have unfortunately)…I picked it up (like most things in my room) from Goodwill.

Most of them are custom, as are the genesis units, sorry…it’s really the only way to truly maximize your available space. But it’s not as hard as you might think to build your own shelving. I put together a little “How-to” thread last year. Check it out. (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39614) It also shows how messed up my room can get when I let it go. @_@

Thanks for the info...Not sure if I'll give it a try or not...I completely suck at any type of construction.

Seeing all these gamerooms really makes me can't wait to put one together when I get a house...

Question -- when you have so many games around, how do you figure out which one to play? I just have my Dreamcast and Xbox collections out right now, and I can only focus on a few games at a time. If I had everything at my fingertips, I think I'd pass out from trying to think of what to play!
