View Full Version : A free computer game site
My friend hooked me up with this site the other day.
http://www.abandonia.com/index2.php
It's a place that has old dos games for free to download, in case you ever get that classic PC itch that needs scratched.
I thought Battle Bugs was a pretty neat title myself.

That site actually has a bunch of stuff The Underdogs doesn't. It can't compare with the huge number of games at HOTU, though.

No shit... last time I was browsing there I also picked up a ton of adware and spyware.

No addware or spyware here -- just have a good pop up.
I'm a mod on HOTU, so forgive me if I defend it. ;)
Hey, how else are they going to pay the bills? You should know everything that I know about it. ;)

Really? The last time I was there, a program auto installed on my computer and then kept asking if I wanted a spyware blocker from them. I picked up a couple other little bugs too, I can't remember the process names they used. This was quite a few months ago though.

The problem is that you don't really know WHERE that stuff comes from.
I know Underdogs personaly. She has pledged that there will be NO Spyware or Addware to help pay for the site.
Still, it's possible one of the ad companies that she contracts with slipped something in without warning. I'll ask her about it.

Well, I'm not as active there as I used to be -- but I do still have my mod powers and do go in a few times a week to look around. For a while though I was really active there. Everyone was shocked when it was revelved that Underdogs was a girl. :P

I never got spyware there, for the record.
God I love that site, I forgive it for its popups. Bring 'em on!
Never been to the forums, though.
I always thought she was a woman. I don't know why, I probably heard about her before discovering the site. She's some kind of finance person in SouthEast Asia somewhere, right?
