Actually the writers (ie. including myself) over at NTSC-UK made Katamari game of the year as well ;)

Admitedly that's partially due to not everyone agreeing on Halo 2, GTA or Metroid Prime 2, so we went for something we almost all agreed on was "a very good game" (even though we only gave it 8/10).

Aww, don't say that. Most of the world wouldn't have rated Katamari Damacy "best of" in so many categories... we're at least a little off the beaten track here. There will always be the games that "no one plays" but this crew is the most likely to discover them, if not sooner, then certainly later.

...why? Oh, because its not "hardcore gamer" enough, my bad. Halo 2 may not be the greatest, but its online play is second to none. (save MMORPG genre... which I have yet to see one worth spending $15 a month on) Yes I did vote Halo 2 in Online play. And its campaign wasn't all it was hyped to be, but it WAS better than the first... At least you got variety. But we all know a Good FPS lies in Multiplayer, so, I voted for Halo 2 in FPS too ;)

And I withdraw my own personal pick for overrated pick of the year (Spider-Man 2...) In favor of The Digital Press' fetish for all things Katamari Damacy... Damn you Katamari and your "wannabe" under-the-radar ways!

Heh, glad to see katamari won. In my opinion, It deserved every award it won. But no Shadow Hearts 2 or Megaman X8? You people should be ashamed of yourselves! ;)
