I think he meant "rare" in the context of "it would be a rare for someone to believe that these games are something other than common" :)

This whole thing isn't new. People have always abused the "rare" term. Just as an experiment, right now I'm going to the video game section of Ebay and typing in the word "rare"...and got over 7,000 results. Wow, that's a lot of rare games out there...and look at a couple of othe rare games on page one of my search...Super Mario 3 for NES! (Wasn't that one of the biggest sellers ever?)...also Super Punch-Out (SNES). Wow, maybe I can make a fortune with all the rare games I own? :D
