I've had a modded Panasonic GameCube for way too long now, and I still haven't taken the time to import any Jap. games. So who has some suggestions? The Naruto games look good, and so does Nintendo Puzzle Collection, anything else I should keep my eyes open for?

I haven't played them, but I'm interested in the Hudson remakes, specifically Bonk and Adventure Island. Anyone know if they are worth the money?

I've only got Adventure Island... it's great... it plays EXACTLY like the original... secrets are all in the same spots... graphics are awesome... like maybe n64 era graphics.... I got mine for $40 from liksang... i feel it was worth it.
The only other cube import I have is Ikaruga because that was much easier to find in Japanese than the US release... plus, no reading is necessary for a shooter.

Also on the subject of the Hudson remakes, the Star Soldier is also excellent. A perfect blend of old and new school shmupping goodness. Shooter rock forever.
The only other import I have for the Cube is Dragon Drive. It was supposedly developed by Treasure, but they don't seem to be mentioned anywhere (this was the case witht he GBA Hajime no Ippo as well). Mediocre, but it was worth the $30 I paid just to have it. It is a 3D shooter that combines the rail shooting of Panzer Dragoon and Starfox, the free roaming shooting of Starfox 64 and even a little bit of ZOE in the boss battles, all wrapped up in a gotta catch 'em all anime card battle package. The cards are used as semi useless powerups throughout the game. Biggest issue most have with the game is the slightly better than N64 graphics. Looks like the early builds of the forthcoming Starfox Assault.

I like buying all the basic non text-heavy US released games in Japanese format, just because the packaging is cooler.
Mario Sunshine
Waverace
F-Zero
Luigi's Mansion, etc....
You don't need to read much of anything to play these, so the Japanese versions work just fine. I decided I couldn't deal with Japanese versions of FF:CC and Zelda though, too much confusion. I need to just suck it up and learn the language already.....

Kururin Squash! (don't pay more than the $40 price from Play-Asia)
Doubutsu No Mori E+ (don't buy if you have American Animal Crossing)
Doshin the Giant (but make sure to get the European version)
