I recently pickd up Psyvariar fpr PS2 (import) and found it to be a great top down shooter...even though its a little short. I like the inventive power up system by dodging enemy bullets (called buzzing).
Anybody else tried this game? Any opinons?

I've been thinking about tracking that down for a while. How much did it set you back? And where did you get it? I only see it come up about once a month on ebay, and I haven't seen it in the online import shops lately. And are you playing it on a JP PS2, or on a mod job? I have yet to invest in either of these, which is another reason I haven't pulled the trigger, so to speak. Besides, hope springs eternal that it could see a late North American release, like Shienryu, aka Gehkioh Shooting King. Yeah, right--slim chance, I know...

I'd like to get it, but I don't want to mod my PS2. That's the big question, I guess...is this game worth me modding the PS2 and trying to import?

Taste very....I liked it quite a bit...love the power-up system.
I have a Japanese PS2...I bought it just for Japanese shooters....Psyvariar, Silpheed, Zanac X Zanac etc.
Price was $68 from BuyRite.com (Buyrite sux)
