Will the Atari 7800 play games from the older models?

I'm thinking about getting one again for a few select games, and it would be great if it could play games from the other two Ataris.

It plays Atari 2600 carts by default. By the "other two Atari's" I assume you mean that as one of them... is the 5200 the other? It doesn't have any 5200 backwards compatibility or adapter, unfortunately.

There are also a handful of Atari 2600 games that won't work, usually because of the plastic guidepins inside of the cartridge (the Tigervision games are a good example of this). You could snap or cut these off to get the cart to fit, however.
