I found four boxed RCA Studio II games at a thrift store earlier this week. They were overpriced at FIVE dollars each, but I bought them anyways. Baseball, Tennis/Squash, Black Jack, and Math Fun. I had bought an actual RCA Studio II there a month prior, I don't know if they just recently put the games out or if they were there at the time and I just missed them. I've always wondered, what inspires somebody to hold on to a system for over 25 years and then suddenly decide to give it to a thrift store one day?

Well, I received the supposedly near mint and complete copy of R-type I won only to find that it doesn't have the instructions, the cart label is torn and scruffed all over, and it is written on in some kind of silver marker. Not a huge loss moneywise, but still pisses me off.

I also got a sealed copy of Future Tactics for Xbox. I know, big deal.

The only other thing going on with Ebay is a copy of Air Force Delta Storm I won for 15.00. Unfortunately, the guy only accepts money orders, and after I sent mine, I see two people have posted neg feedback and accused him of being a scammer, and now he is no longer a registered member. He is, however, answering his emails promptly and claims to have shipped it at the end of last week. We'll see. He only had 18 feedbacks with more than a few coming from the same person.

I did pick up a wireless controller for Xbox as well as the Lightgun. Mad Catz is buy 1 get 2nd half off, so I went and got House of the Dead 3 with gun since I was getting the wireless.

I also got Curse: Eye of Isis, Otogi, and Panzer Dragoon since Gamestop is oding their third used game is free thing. Picked up Donkey Konga and Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, too.

I can finally join in on some of these weekly finds :D . I went "shopping" today and found the following at a local game store:

Herzog Zwei
Ranger X
Dark Castle
Rolo to the Rescue

All loose Genesis games for a total of $10. I've been wanting to play Herzog Zwei for a while now, and so far it seems to be worth the hunt.

I also managed to hit up Best Buy for a couple good deals on DVD's:

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ($7.50)
Wonderboys ($7.50)
Master of the Flying Guillotine ($11) (supposedly this is one of the films that influenced Quentin Tarantino on some of his films, and I'm a BIG Tarantino fan)

While I was at best buy sorting through our geo shipment I found the guide I was looking for:

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Was 7 bucks after discount. Not bad for a 210+ page strat guide. Other than that, been playing more than hunting. May have a nice day coming on saturday though ;D.

I had a great day for finding those certain games that have been illusive. Paid fair market value to slightly less, but I wanted most of these pretty badly (Pics were screwed, so I replaced them with links):

http://www.geocities.com/klausien/games.bmp

SNES:
Pilotwings $1
Sonic Blast Man FREE
The Ignition Factor $1
Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse $4
The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie $6
Knights of the Round $10
X-Men Mutant Apocalypse $5

NES:
Zen: Intergalactic Ninja $1
DuckTales $3

Genesis:
ToeJam & Earl $10

N64:
Pilotwings 64 $5

PSX:
Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit $3
Tobal No. 1 $4
Rival Schools $15

Capcom SNES goodies! FINALLY found a copy of ToeJam & Earl.

Also had my best find so far this year:

http://www.geocities.com/klausien/GB.bmp

This was $10. A 1989 Classic GB in absolutely pristine, fully working condition. The only slight issue (which I could care less about) is that the serial number sticker was in bad shape, so I removed it to have a clean unit. I have been wanting one of these and it couldn't be beaten for that price. The screen doesn't even really have any scratches on it! Must have been adult owned.

yeah, cool boarders burrrn is an import i found at the local game shop.

this game has some good meaning, and is very "down with sony" sort of speak.

when this game was first announced, it was announced as a cool boarders game. see, sony can't stop the japanese from putting out a cool boarders game for dc, but they did stop us americans. the game then became rippin riders when it came out in the states.

2.95 at the local game shop dude. i was going through the dc games there (since goatdan hooked it up with a vga box) so that I could play some dc games through my monitor (99% of my dc games are tucked away in a special hiding place at my friend's house to avoid them being stolen). i happened to notice this little gem, and well, whether it was worth it or not, for me, 2.95 is a hell of a deal.

Well, nothing TOO spectacular for me, but I'm pretty happy, since I haven't had a decent thrift score in quite a while...

A ColecoVision loose game bundle, which includes the following:

Pepper II
Smurf - Rescue
Mouse Trap
Donkey Kong (of course... )
Time Pilot
Zaxxon
Qbert
Popeye
Turbo
Congo Bongo
Montezuma's Revenge :D

All for $5.00, and included instructions and a Colecovision catalog that shows a bunch of vaporware, including Side Track, Spectar, and Tunnels & Trolls...

Also for $5.00 was the Steering Wheel controller for Colecovision...

Not too shabby...

I hate to say this, but have you seen that guy's feedback? The Negatives speak for themselves...

Yes, I did read his feedback. It seems to me that there are many more people leave comments saying that they like the sign than ones that don't. Also, 7 negative comments is not all that many.

Lastly, the majority of the negatives and the neutrals were left by people who thought they were getting a neon sign (or about watches he sells... nothing to do with the sign). Although it does say neon sign in the auction description, any idiot who knows anything about neon signs would be able to see clearly from the pictures that these are NOT neon. The seller most likely used the word 'neon' so people searching for lighted signs also saw his products.

that's true as well, and the fact that 7 is not that many, I always find the recent one before I make a judgement on these kind of things.

Since you did point out that many of his buyers cannot read the fine print. That does bring up a very good point.

I got these games from Gamestation... I didnt even know they sold cassettes!

Three Amiga games for £1 each... and the cassettes were £0.50p each... a lot of Amstrad.. a couple of C64.. and couple of Dragon32... a few very rare and early titles..

The star of the lot.. IMHOTEP by Ultimate Play the Game (aka RARE) for the Commodore 64.. and Sabre Wulf for the Amstrad.. both in beautiful condition.. for £0.50p each... IMHOTEP is worth around £35?
