I dropped by Gamestop today and browsed around for a few minutes. I glanced at the used Gameboy case and I did a quick double take... they had "Mario & Yoshi" with the others! I'd never seen one before, and for those who don't know, it's the Japanese/European version of the old puzzler "Yoshi". I considered buying it, but then I saw the price tag... $24.99! Yeesh. Too bad I didn't bring my SP, or else I would've popped it in for a few minutes to check out the differences.
Has anyone else ever found import games at chain stores like Gamestop? I'd never seen an import there before today.

I'm not quite sure if that game is good or bad...I wouldn't trade any of my favorite platformers for it, though. Sort of unusual platformer/Beat-'em-up with repeating characters. Some neat levels like a train, swimming in a river, and so on (I gave up at that point). I thought that was French only...neat to hear :)

It's not a bad game, but the controls are a bit awkward, which lowes the fun potential of the game.
And it's a multilingual game (there's a language selection screen upon startup). It's a Tintin and the Temple of the Sun game, and it was released by Infogrames (back when they had the armadillo logo).
It's very difficult to find any info about that particular version, especially since there was a remake released in 2001 for the GBC.

I found Bubble Bobble Jr. at Gamestop, the Japanese version of Bubble Bobble 2 with a different cover.
I bought a Japanese Darius game there once as well, and I've also seen a Japanese TMNT:Fall of the Foot Clan there too.

A while ago, I walked into the GameStop near me and they had about 40 copies of some GameGear soccer title that was an import for $0.99. I bought a few copies for the GOAT Store, and I was always baffled about why they had that.
They never, ever had in any other GameGear games too. Just that goofy import soccer game (it wasn't bad either ;) ).
