Remember the arcade laser-disc game "Cliff Hanger?" Well, just found out that Cartoon network will be airing "Lupin III" M-F at midnight beginnning in January. Do a little research if you don't get the connection.... :D
First CN gets Futurama, now THIS. Damn, I am one happy mofo.

The best part is that you don't have to pretend to play a game while you're watching it.

Cliff Hanger is one of the few obscure arcade games that really stuck in my mind since I was a kid. I found out a few years ago that is was a real cartoon called Lupin III. I watched a videotape that had count or castle in the title that was pretty good. I really like late 70's/early 80's Japanese cartoons (Starblazers, Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express 999, etc.) but I can't stand the newer Anime stuff that everyone else is so in to. A couple of years ago a friend of mine was Lupin for Halloween.

That movie would be Castle of Cagliostro.

yep that's it. I thought it was pretty good. Alot of Japanese cartoons from that era that were dubbed in english in the early to mid 80's have really bad voices. I don't think that Captain Harlock should sound like John Wayne.

Being an old school anime fan, finding Lupin on Cartoon Network is great! Those "subtitle purist" philosophy be darned! I've been watching anime since I was 12, and we only had Project A-ko... Dubbed! Only dubbed! That's all we had, until we (those that endured Anime: the Early Years) complained enough to get some subbed stuff, too. So, to those anime subtitle purists, listen to this: though dubbed anime might not be as good as the original (though try saying this to the Lisa "Lina Inverse" Ortiz fans out there, beware!), it does give good exposure to people usually averse to anime, or have never been exposed before, or haven't been exposed to anime that appeals to them. More fans is better for the anime community, with demand and supply kicking in, and whatnot. Also, yey, Go Bender!

I remember Cliffhanger! Didn't you have a button for your hand and feet? I loved the opening of the game.
"JUUUUUUMP!.........JUUUUUUUUMP!" LOL Then they drove off in their jet-powered Volkswagon. OMG! That was funny! LOL ;) LOL
