Does anyone know any good... really step by step guides to constructing an R G B scart lead?

Like leads for old videogame systems and computers..

I can follow most instructions.. but I dont know what sort of wire to buy.. thickness... core.. etc!

Constructing an warm chocolate puddin' scart lead?

Ah, word filters. Is there anything they *can't* do?

I've been trying like hell to get them to shingle my roof, but no dice...

Exempting the tech forum from word filters would be nice... you know, for the sake of using the search engine without having to include "RGB" and "ARRGEEBEE" and "R.G.B." :D

Data cables. Printer and other computer cables are free and they have enough wires inside to get the job done. For a tasty chocolate SCART cable you need R,G,B,Sync,1-3V,audio and ground. After that it's a case of finding the pinouts and connecting the dots.

Hmm

Being the owner of a 14 year old Conrac 21 inch 85 pound redgreenblue 15-31khz Monitor I am very interested in something like this.

Does anyone know of a source for a female scart connector? We are sadly deprived of scart output here in the USA.

But scart cables for most systems are readily available. And for all sega systems there is pure r and g and b!

If there was a female scart with all the available pins it could be used to make a breakout box to BNC or RCA connectors and then on to the monitor of your choice.

Any ideas?

I've been looking for a female SCART cable connector as well. I haven't been able to locate a SCART extension cable either. Seems like all they ever sell online are the M - M cables. If any one knows an online site that sells either, please post a link. :)
