Sorry everyone, i have some basic xbox live questions. Please bear in mind im the UK so things may be a bit different. So basically id really like to get xbox live to play Halo 2. Now, before i got out and buy it, i thought 'oh yeah, i have the two month free subsciprtion i got when i bought halo 2'. So i have broadband, i have a link cable i use for 8 player and i have the two month trial. Is there any reason why i cant get started? Someone told me i cant use the two month trial without the live starter kit, is this true?

Thanks in advance,

Joe. :)

It should not be a problem at all. I hooked up my brother to Xbox Live with his 2 month free subsciprtion. The only thing is they ask for a credit card to start the account and when the 2 months is up they charge you with out notice.

oh ok, but if i cancel my subscription, they wont begin to charge me?

Thanks for your help,

Joe. :)

Yeah, you can go online and cancel your account before the 2 months are up. They send you an email with details after you sign up for the free trial.

Bingo, when i cancelled mine over the phone, they gave me a confirmation code to tell me that the account was fully closed

I tried it for the first time the other day and did the 2 month trial as well. Halo 2 is quite fun on there, but this is how it went for me: spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn, die !@#$#!$%$% Granted I've only been playing it for the last couple of days, but sheesh these guys are good. You don't need the communicator either (I don't have it) but I think you'd probably need it for team play.

Yeah, there are some people on there that must play for like 20 hours a day. And you're really not missing out on anything with not having the headset for non-team stuff ... just smacktards talking crap.
