That's a pretty extensive redecorating job there, judging by the screen shots. Good work!

Hmmm...still waiting for the email to go through. Does it normally take this long to receive an email, I'm guess because of the attachment?

Curses! Damn my disk drive for still being dead, thus making me unable to play this on my SF7. ~_~

Using ZSNES just isn't the same...but I'll check it out as soon as I fix my drive. :)

Believe it or not, I've played your hack before. I have no idea where I got it from, but I know I have played it. I cannot get past that god foresaken 1st castle ( :help: ), though. I can't time my jump right to land on those winged blocks. But it's an amazing hack. Way to go.

I can also host this if need be.

Actually, the 1st castle doesn't have any "Winged Blocks". Most of the levels are redone, so it's not exactly the same as before. Here are some screenshots:

1st Castle Remade:

Where in the World is this?:
http://img152.echo.cx/img152/6420/image458dw.png (http://www.imageshack.us)

I'll mention it this secret advice here: There are some Super Secret Levels hidden inside some normal levels. Where are they? How do you enter them? What do you get if you beat them all? Play and find out :)

Here's a complete map of the Ruins of the Past level. If you can't tell what the blocks resemble during the game (or don't feel like playing my hack), I hope this helps:

Yet another update:

http://www.geocities.com/ddcecil3/ddcecilsmw3.zip

There was a pipe bug I didn't fix, but now it works. Plus I added some new stuff, as usual. I'm pretty sure this will be my final release. My next goal is to get this baby on cartridge. Hopefully, Necrosaro420 will be up to it (If it is even possible). I'd like to thank everyone who tried out my hack!

BTW, Here's an area that shouldn't be too hard to find ;):

... Can't find any links....

If someone could help me locate this (or perhaps send me the file), your help will be much appreciated.

EDIT: NEVERMIND

ddcecil: Have you made any other game hacks that I should know about?

For anyone that's interested, I found an ultra-difficult (yet amazing) hack of Super Mario Bros 2

Very nice work, though the first few levels I played were a bit long (I almost ran out of time without doing much exploration).

Anyways, you might want to show off your work to the official Super Mario World hacking forum. They have a list of finished hacks:

That I know, what I meant was this the hack for SMW that was called "Super Demo World"

badinsults
11-08-2005, 03:05 PM
Well, seeing as how Demo World came out after this patch was started, I would say no.

At any rate, I couldn't get the patch to work. Do you require a header in the rom, or is there a particular rom version you have to use?

Edit: yeah, it just needed a header.

Read 1st post in topic and get the final, final, FINAL release.

Want to win all my current meseta? The first person to PM me and tell me which Level houses Kolorado Koopa's Hidden Traesure gets ALL of it.

Thought that might encourage people to play it.

For 590 Meseta? I don't think so. Here's 2500 more.

Okay, here it is. The final, final, FINAL version! The ROM even told me it is out of space (Really!). I promise: No more bugs! (Check the very first post to download the patch.)

I also re-added a feature that was in the JPN version of SMW, but removed from the U.S. version: You can now eat the dolphins! Also, I fixed some of the palettes that probably hurt your eyes. The Ghost Manor and Monochrome levels come to mind.

If you are having trouble patching the ROM (it won't work, etc...), send me a PM, and I'll hook you up.

Oh yeah, the Meseta reward is now almost up to 5000! Come on! You know you want to find Kolorado Koopa's treasure and claim it!
