Now Namco wants a piece of Capcom! And it's not a fighting game!

Yes it's an SRPG, and it looks mighty neat.
So far the game has characters from (taken from gamefaqs.com)
Namco : Tekken, Soul Edge/Calibu/2, Tales Of, XENOSAGA, Taiko no Tatsujin, MOJIPITAN, Mr Driller, KATAMARI DAMASHII, Yumeria, RIDGE RACER, Ace Combat, WONDER MOMO, Dragon Buster, Dolgarua , VALKYRIE, Pacman, Genpei Keimaden, Mirai Ninja.
Capcom: Bio Hazard, Onimusha, DMC, SF 2 - Zero - 3, GYAKUTEN SAIBAN, Rockman, Rockman Zero, Rockman EXE, ROCKMAN DASH, Rockman X, Viewtiful Joe, characters from the vs games (Ruby, Sonson and Amingo ?) VAMPIRE, CYBERBOTS, MAKAIMURA, Sonson.
Here's hoping it gets a NA release. If not,

Damn, this looks pretty kickass to me. I really hope this gets a North American release.
But, it reminds me of Super Robot Wars, and as we all know, none of those got a North American Release. But, this game does have more characters that American consumers would know.
Let's hope we get it.

I have to say that the chances are probably pretty darn slim that we ever get this. I just don't think the name and character recognition of these folks is high enough for a release anywhere but Japan.

Holy shit, that looks fantastic.
I don't see any chance of it making it stateside though, that'd be a very niche release and likely wouldn't sell even remotely well enough to warrant a translation.

Who doesn't know the Street Fighter characters? Or Dante? Or the Tekken and Soul Calibur guys? Or Megaman and Pacman? Xenosaga? Resident Evil?

Holy cow...this has to be the most badass thing since Capcom Vs. SNK Card Fighter's Clash...and hey..it's Regina from Dino Crisis! Haven't seen her in a while!

This will be for PS2, May 2005 is the launch date in Japan!
Let's hope this arrives to the USA!
and furthermore I'm happy as hell my Ghouls 'N Ghosts is back again ;)

Hey, don't get upset. But if you want to play this, I suggest signing up for a Japanese language course.

The battle system is turn based, you can use the character's special attacks, as well as super moves and dual attacks (for specific characters only, such as Dimitri and Morrigan).
It's almost like Card Fighter clash in 3D woot!

Yay, I'm the first to think its stupid!! (and reply...)
A) no
B) Card Fighters Clash will sill be better
C) should be a Fighting game
D) Namco has no stron characters... that I care about anyways.
E) jus plain no...

Hmm...Strategy RPG...would FF Tactics be an SRPG? Maybe thats just plain Strategy...

I think that FFT is a Strategy RPG. Hexagonal WW2 sims are just "strategy," like Panzer General.

Hey! That looks pretty sweet to me! If I collected for any of the current consoles, I'd have this on preorder already. Who cares if it's all in Japanese?

Bah. Sega vs. Nintendo is where it's at. Unfortunely, no one would know any of Sega's characters (Sonic aside).

Wow, that looks amazing! And to make matters even better, the guys at Monolith (xenosaga & baten kaitos) are behind it!

I was thinking about posting about this game a couple days ago, but I felt too lazy. :P
On the off chance that tri-Crescendo has any involvement like with Baten Kaitos, I'll be all over it. If it's just Monolith, then I'll stick with my mild interest and perhaps get it somebody when it's cheap (in English or Japanese, doesn't matter).

Looks amazing. If they don't bring it here...I'll be incredibly dissapointed. But Namco and Capcom seem to like taking chances on new, weird games (Ex: Under the skin, Katamari, Nightmare of Druaga, crimson tears, etc.)
Let's hope it makes it here.

Well, I'm not too crazy that a vs. game is an RPG instead of a fighter (false advertising, dangit!), but I guess it's a welcome change for some. I'm just more biased to fighters over RPG's. :P
BUT... but... if Rick Taylor, the protagonist of Splatterhouse is a playable character, I MUST PLAY THIS GAME. If he's in it, but not playable, then I'll still give it a look. But if there's no Rick at all... ima gonna bea pissda.

Capcom would piss on Namco :D
