heard it had some carnage in it, a few websites call it an rpg. i can't find out anything besides that.

If this is the game you are referring to, it's not really an RPG. I'd classify it as an Adventure/FMV game. I've only played an hour or two of it, and my Japanese is pretty non-existent, so I can't comment on the story. You play as a girl and in the begining of the game you have to escape from a building while being pursued by security guards. It's all live action and at key points you can choose from a couple options. If I recall correctly, the options are in English. They are really general, like "Action," "Hide" and "Clever." If you choose the right option, you continue on.
It's *playable* without any Japanese skill, but you'd be missing out on the focus of the game: the story. Still, I enjoyed what I played. It was intersting to watch, despite not having a clue what was happening. In one instance, you were being attacked by an odd looking soldier whom you eventually kill with a broken bottle(I think). Pretty graphic.
