For example do you have every sonic game through all platforms or maybe a complete zelda collection. Any series at all?
I alway love seeing pics of stuff like that where every game from a series is next to each other (joy) :P
Sadly i don't really have full sets of stuff like that, i dream of the day of getting every mario game. Hmm dont know if spinoffs count like mario is missing ect...

I think I'm going to get all the MegaManX games, I have 1, 5-8 right now, so it shouldn't be that hard. That series spans through SNES, PS1, PS2.

I once had every Lunar game, before I needed to sell it to fund other game purchases. I still kept one of each PS1 game tho to play.

I've done this casually with Sonic and Mega Man. I have most of the games for each, but not all. I try to include random import versions as well, which slows down the process.

I've got a Japanese Sonic Labyrinth on the Game Gear. I don't think it's in the guide. I'm working on a few complete domestically released series but I'm a few games shy for most of them.
This was done a while ago:

Here's a shot of my Zelda collection. It includes box variations (collector's editions, normal editions and Player's Choice versions).
Demos for Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask x 2; Minish Cap, and Link to the Past are also in there. I'm still missing the Oracle of Seasons demo cart. :(
I refuse to collect the CD-I Zelda games. I only collect what I play, and playing them would be torture. LOL

I have a weakness for series and I don't know why. Like Tomb Raider for example. I'm late to the whole TR thing but I fully intend on having all the games at some point, just because I inherited II.
I think it's a throwback to my comic/sportscard collecting. I've got to have the whole set!
(So yes, you can blame me for some sequels selling so well :) ).
Love the Zelda collection!

I was on a Final Fantasy streak: until XI came out.
However I do own EVERY US Square title on SNES.
In the Megaman realm, I have all 8.5 regular Megamans (1-8, Rockman & Forte SFC), and once I break down and get X8, I'll have all 8 X games.
I also own and beaten all 3 NES Ninja Gaidens.
I'd also like to but would be very difficult, collecting all things Castlevania and Guilty Gear. But I guess since I got Dracula X for Turbo Duo, I can say I'm pretty content with the status of my Castlevania collection.

Here's my Treasure collection. I have Astroboy somewhere and I have Advance Guardian Heroes in the mail via a trade. Still missing some...

Forgot to mention myself in my other post. I don't have a digital camera, unfortunately.
My Super Mario platformer collection:
Super Mario World (SNES, loose, non-Player's Choice)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES, loose, non-Player's Choice)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES, loose)
Super Mario Bros. DX (GBC, complete)
Super Mario 64 (N64, loose w/manual)
Super Mario Sunshine (GC, complete, non-Player's Choice)
It's not everything, but I can play SMB1 through Sunshine. I just need the Super Mario Land games.
And that's it so far. Here's what I'd like to go for:
Burnout - I have Burnout 2 on GC, and Burnout 3 on PS2. Now I just need the first, which I'll probably get on GC. Yeah, it's small, but whatever.
Grand Theft Auto - Still on the fence with this one. I have GTA 2 on the Playstation, and all three PS2 games. So I'd need GTA 1 and GTA London on PSX, GTA on GBC, and GTA Advance on GBA.

...it's not much, but once I get the first three complete, I plan to start grabbing variants (regional and reprint -- that Super Metroid is Canadian!). Beaten all but the first and the last, too, Metroid II was definitely the toughest...really gotta finish those up sometime. :)
...oh, and not pictured is the First Hunt demo 'cause that's just sitting in my DS box, anyway.

I've certainly considered collecting series in the past. Some of which (some) people might not expect along with more common ones:
Tengai Makyou
The endless multitudes of Falcom Dragon Slayer games
Star Soldier
Kunio-kun (popular one to collect ain't it?
Zelda, Sonic, Mario (Seems odd not to sometimes...)
Developers:
Toaplan (Hope I can find Tatsujin-Oh soon for less than a kidney... Any ideas on how to find Marty games (not to mention the Marty itself)?)
Raizing shooters subcollection (gonna need some arcade boards to get past the first few...)

LOL, I thought that was funny because you're missing the two most expensive games of the series, and you say it's not going to be hard. No offense, of course. Good luck on your quest. Anyways, I'm not looking to complete any series, except maybe Sonic 1-3 and Sonic & Knuckles, just because.

Well.. I got a complete US Pikmin series.. A whopping two games.
And both US Smash Bros games.
But I'd really like to complete a few seris' one day. Firstly, the NES Classics series on the GBA. Then maybe one day all the Mario games. Every game with Mario in it. Even if it's a cameo. At least in the US. I'll forego the Japanese or European or Australian etc.. Just US. It's easier. And forget boxes. If I can just get a cart, so be it.
So far..
NES Classic:
Super Mario Bros. (Also have the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 01)
Zelda
Ice Climber
Dr. Mario
Mario series: (Deep breath.. here we go..)
Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros 2
Super Mario Bros 3
Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt
Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet
Dr. Mario
Baseball (Cameo)
Golf (Cameo)
Pinball (Cameo)
Tetris (Cameo)
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Mario is Missing (Cameo)

Donkey Kong Country (Cameo)
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Cameo)

Super Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
Mario Party
Super Smash Bros
Zelda 64 (Cameo)
Luigi's Mansion (Cameo)
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros Melee
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Animal Crossing (Unseen Cameo)
Viewtiful Joe (Unseen Cameo.. Stretch)
Donkey Konga (Cameo)
Game Cube Preview Disc (Cameo in Dr. Mario download)
Donkey Kong '94
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Super Mario Advance (SMB2)
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2
Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
NES Classic: Super Mario Bros
Tetris (Cameo)
Game Boy Camera Yellow (Cameo)

Super Mario Bros: The Movie (DVD)
I probably missed a couple. Maybe I'll just stick to starring roles.
