I've been playing through my GameCube collection over the last few days, and I've been having quite a blast with it. I've got a rather meager selection of games right now, and while I'm not trying to get too many more, I'm curious to see what people think are can't miss games for the system.
My must haves so far would be:
F-Zero GX - I *adored* the N64 version, and this one is just as good if not better. Story mode is great too, and you really feel the intensity from the moment you start to the second you cross the finish line. Perhaps my favorite racing game ever, although OutRun2 has been giving it a run for it's money lately.
Pool Paradise - Don't laugh! I like playing pool in real life, although I completely suck at it. Pool Paradise gives me the chance to play the game digitally against opponents that are equal to my skills, better than me or worse than me. The mini-games are fun, and the humor is great.
Metroid Prime - Damn. Got this game because it was cheap, not because I was overly interested in it at the time. Excellent choice. Now I'm very interested in Echoes (which I hear is only $30 at Kay*Bee now!)
Muppets Party Cruise - Again, don't laugh. It is Mario Party gameplay coupled with the Muppets characters. The only thing missing is difficulty settings for your opponents, but this is a great, great party game.
