Your fav adventure Island on nes

I just picked it up the other day for $6 .

I like Adventure Island 1,2, but one of my oldest memories of video game goodness was of playing the original. My granperants would pick up alot of games used while they travelled around in their motor-home.
I couldnt get past the first boss... but i only got to play it for little while since they were just visiting.

I would probably say 3 out of the NES games. Not to stray off the NES topic but Adventure Island fans should check out New Adventure Island for TG16 as it's better than the NES games.

Adventure island rocks. I've always liked these games, and 3 is the best of the NES ones. I actually just bought the GCN remake from play-asia....hope it gets here soon! And I'd love to check out the TG16 one too.

This is one of my favourite series, and Adventure Island 1 is one of the best platforming games ever made. It's far superior to Wonderboy. I do like the graphics AND sound of Wonderboy better, but the game play/play control isn't there. And as you all know, if you don't have the game play down pat, nothing else matters. Adventure Island 1 has the tightest play control of any platformer this side of the SMB series, and an awesome difficulty ramp. A beginner should be able to beat the first world no problem, an intermediate player should be able to get to World 4 or 5 in one game, and a PLATFORMING GOD should be able to beat the game without continuing (I got to 8-2 in one game once @_@ )

I have Adventure Island on my multicart and its one those games you can quickly pick up for awhile and have some fun with.

I love #1. Have played number 2 + 3, as well as owned, but can't remember them at the moment.

What ever happened to that remake that was suppossed to be for the Cube of Adventure Island and Bonk???

adventure island rules!!i have all 3 for my nes,the two for the snes,and the jap import for gamecube.i will say the first is my favorite,as its the most fun platformer.long live master higgins/master takahashi!!!

Number two was my favourite, Particular highlights were riding the skateboard. I remember being a furious as a child because my dad was better at the game than I was, this has not occured since.
