in the movie, spun (2003) featuring: john leguizamo, jason schwartzman, brittany murphy, etc. there is a scene in which a really burnt out teenager is playing some video game (supposedly a play-station 1 title, considering that its the one pictured being played) that featuring two apes attacking each other. one of them dies after getting punched in the midsection (complete with blood and bannana-style combo meter) and the victor injects heroin into his arm before slumping over. the graphic part i was raving about earlier has the stoned ape playing with "himself" and spewing out a hopping army of male genitals. its about 17 minutes and 40 seconds into the vhs (which i finally obtained). i'll try to take some photos of it later.

i just wanted to know if its a real game, flash or legit, or just a move-exclusive animation that's non-interactive.

Eh, no. That would be bananas.

And the game in question would be Gorilla, an old QBasic game that came standard with DOS, along with Nibble (At least, I believe it came standard, I remember our old computer had it).

Anyways, it's a fun game. I think you can find an updated version for Win XP somewhere.

Is that the game where you have to type in two numbers (one for velocity, the other escapes me) and try to hit the other monkey? If that's the one, I used to love that game. My dad would bring home his laptop from work when I was little and we used to play that a good bit.

I am 99% sure that is a phony game.

The game was a metaphor for drug addicts, or "monkeys" as they are sometimes called, fitting with the film's theme.

Looked like it would have been a lousy game, but I do like the symbolism.
