They've been doing that for a while now.

i know, but still, i have most of those games, and i got them for at most 2 bucks, and at Gamestop especiailly now since u can get buy 2 get 1 free on top of 50% off. its just a waste of money

Yeah, I agree that it's definitely not worth it.

its not really that bad... its comes out to about $3.30 for a game, its probably a good choice for the average gamer that doesnt want to waste time on ebay/swap meet's..ect

Yeah, I was going to say it sounds fine to me. :)

Some people just want a instant collection for gaming fun, and don't care about boxes or instructions, nor do they want to bother with a flea market or EBay which can be hit or miss.

Here you get 15 good games for a resonable price promised to work, no hassle, no fuss. And there's a lot to pick from here. I could very easily fill out 15 games.

Have you seen what most NES games sell for in GameSpot -- the ones that used to be Funcolands? Check sometime, then you'll see these online prices that EB is offering is quite good. ;)

And besides, I don't see anything saying you can't use your Edge card to get even MORE money off this......

I guess it's because not many of those games interest me.

I'll admit bias, but for what you get it's not bad :) Sure you could get a better price if you tried, but how easy would it be to find all 141 of those games to choose from? For the extreme covenience of picking out games from that list and their being guaranteed to work, that's worth the pretty small premium.

The mere fact it's EBGames.com is enough to disuade me.

I'm shocked...I didn't even think EB was selling NES games anymore...at least not on their website. I've taken advantage of similar deals for other systems, though...

I'd say it's an okay deal, only because hardly any of those games interst me. It's a good thing for casual retor gamers because it's hassle free. You can get 15 games from one place for one shipping rate.

Chances are if you were to buy those same 15 gamess off ebay it would cost a lot more than $50, unless maybe you found a lot.

The price seems OK to me too. They need to make a profit you know x_x

it wouldnt be all that bad if you could see what the games looked like

i hate not knowing if im gonna get a game that is nice or completely covered in black paint, missing the label, and has a crack in the case with caked on bubble gum on it

well the online deal is i dont like it, the pics are just pics, and from my dealing with games stores is that sometimes they dont check and ive gotten broken games. the other thing is that there competitor Gamestop has a ten times better deal. first u get buy 2 get one free, then ontop of that u get 50% off on all games, THEN if u have the card u get another 10% off, so i just see it as a bad deal. I understand that people would just want to build a quick fun collection, and i like the deal on dreamcast games, since i cant find them anyware. but really there is no reason to look around, especially since they might be looking for certian games.

^ not all GS still carry NES games. Mine stopped taking & selling anything before the N64 (save the PSX)

i found a couple if u asked them, they can tell u if they still have them in the area...found two gamestops still giving them

Gamestop stopped taking in NES, SNES, Genesis, and DC tradeins last year. Once they sell whatever they have left, it's gone for good.

yes i know this...but there are some stores that still have them...so for the time being for me its a hell of a lot better deal....and a lot of stores near me stopped selling, but if u ask they might know one or two that still do...thats all i tried to say. O_O

Not to bad of a price, none of the titles would really interest me though. And of course I would never buy anything online, without pictures of the actual item I will be receiving!

It's kind of odd they stopped taking DC trade-ins before N64 trade-ins.

Lumping DC in with something the age of SNES is a pretty big leap, but oh well....

they do the 15 for 50 deal on dc games too (they did last time i checked). for some systems, it is an extremely good deal. some systems like dc or even n64 have the deal, and it is well worth it. it just takes finding out how to work the system and get the best deal. for nes, i probably wouldn't do that deal, but for n64 or dc, it is an excellent deal.

you have to think, if you get those games at those prices on eBay, it will be hard to get shipping down to an affordable price seeing as it would probably be hard to find a lot of 15 that cheap for 5 shipping. by the time you add in shipping for all of the auctions, it is going to cost way more to get them from eBay.

swap meets, flea markets, thrift stores, etc. are all hit and miss and there is no guarentee about what will be there day after day.

Crazycarl

yea but isnt that the fun part of the whole collecting deal...u run around trying to find games...then one day u find like 6-1 for like 2 bucks...come on is there a better feeling (outside of physical X_x ) then that.

$3.33 for any game you don't own, imo is a great deal for a collector. The exception is disc-based games because they may not have the orignal case or inserts or anything. For carts, if you aren't after boxes or instructions, its a pretty cool deal. Thanks for pointing it out to me, folks!

Just wait until they have another buy one get one free on classics sale again. I got about 30 NES and SNES R6s and R7s that way. After a little Goo Gone they were in good shape too.

This is a pretty sweet deal, if you ask me-I fully intend to take advantage of it come next pay day, since I found 16 games on the list that I need for my NES collection. As it stands, finding manuals is a bit of a rosetta stone, what with all of the used games I've bought for price (as opposed to completeness).
