View Full Version : Weekend Finds Jan. 29 - 30

I went through and compared my Genesis list to the DP Complete list (manually that is…I’m very psyched that Joe is preparing to be able to do this for everyone’s entire collection!) and came up with at least a dozen common games I’ve been leaving on local game store shelves, because I was sure I already had them. Picked up the following Genesis games for between .99 & 3.99 each ($42.00 total, all complete except 2)
Andre Agassi Tennis
B.O.B.
College Football's National Championship II
Decap Attack
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
Earnest Evans (no book)
Hardball '95
Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar
NCAA Final Four Basketball
Olympic Winter Games: Lillehammer
Out Run 2019
Pele II: World Tournament Soccer
Super High Impact (no book)
TNN Outdoors Bass Tournament '96
Tony LaRussa Baseball '95
Triple Play '96
World Series Baseball '96
Also picked up a PS2 Mr. Mosquito complete for $3.98, supposedly from the scratch and dent bin, but the scratches are tiny and it plays fine.
And to top it all off…for .99 I got this album at Goodwill, now all I need to find is the 2600 cart…

I hit my local flea market today(it's been awhile since I've went)
There was no more then 50 vendors say 15 with the crap I look for..The lot hasn't been plowed so they were situated wherever they could get.
My initial goal today was to go buy Men Of Valor-Xbox used for as cheap as I could get it..(search/call around)
Blockbuster Video only has it new $49.99...And a lone banged up copy in EB was $34.99
The flea market was so weird with the crap stuff vendors situated all over the place that it had me thrown off from the usual I know where each vendors spot is..
It reminded me more of a street flea market sale.
I didn't find anything at first visiting my known game vendors..
Then I saw a table with a guy sorting through games like a scavenger..
There was about 20 SNES carts 10 NES and misc parts, wires etc for systems.
I go over and stand there while the guy pulls out every sports SNES title..
I'm looking over his shoulder at everything else in the box..He steps away, looking in boxes of game parts on the floor..I ask the vendor prices ($1.00 Each for the SNES and NES)sweet!..I grab Super R-TYPE and Pac Man 2 TNA and am still looking..The guy jumps up and says "hey"..what are you buying..Tries to snatch it from me and says Let Me SEE,let me see..You buying them?..YES!! I said........(Adult)
So he now hoards over the box, and takes all the common NES carts..I wait..I look way over to the right, and there are 4 New system games..I buy the 3 out of the 4 for $5.00 each.(In Pick)
..(The 4th was a Sports PS2 title that was trashed)..The guy switches around me saying OH NO!! I didn't see them..What are they.?..Oh Mannnnn he goes....I would of bought them.
I was ready to say Well TOO FKN BAD!!.
He now goes over to the left and digs the parts boxes..Grabbing the Horrible Coffee Stained trashed NES,SNES,and PS consoles for $25.00..No controllers or hookups..
He looks over, up at me while I'm now in the SNES box..I SHOUT Are you done here..He says..Yes,oh Ok..So I grab Paperboy 2,Home Alone 2.Pitfall,Skuljagger..I pay for them $1.00 each..The guy comes over again and says..You sure you want to buy them..Yes I said..
He should of took them in the first place then..(It's a freaken flea market)
That was what was worthwhile in the box though I most likely would of made the guy a deal for the whole lot and got it.
I figure Super R-TYPE has to be worth more then $1.00 and I don't have it..
$21.00 Spent.
I leave,I go see my ridiculous vendor friend who has 12 common PS games..He wants $100.00 for the 12 games..Saying they are worth $300.00..
He's got a loose DC with 4 common games for $125.00..WTF!!......I offered to buy a few PS titles for $5-6 each..No way he said and bagged everything up..
I asked him..Why don't you display them for sale instead of keeping them bagged up..He said..Ahh I don't care..I'll sell them somewhee else.
I have no clue how this guy stays in business,Everything he has is way over priced junk..The suckers he must find, because he says he does make some big sales.
I go visit back the SNES box for a final look..I could or should of bought a few more titles..I just wanted to look in the parts boxes as I couldn't before.
The guy had every non systen AC adapter misc wire in piles buying them all as the vendor told him they were for gaming systems..I laughed and shok my head as he told him that..
I Just had to ask the guy..What are you buying this all for..Ebay?..he said No..I don't know how to get on Ebay..
That vendor had a dirty loose PS2 for $45.00..But after seeing the condition of the other systems I doubt it even powered up.
Before I left I visited a vendor that I always pass up....SHIT!!..He has 3 large containers of Used PS2/Xbox/GC and GBA games super cheap..
I never seen them because he keeps them near him behind the table..
I buy Men Of Valor Complete uncratched/MINT for $25.00 haggling him down from $29.00..LOL I got what I originally went out for..
He had several Copies of Halo 2 for $25.00 complete.
I may pick one up next week if he still has them...... for a link copy.

I found a Commodore 64 with floppy drive both complete in original boxes at the Value World for $7 total! The floppy drive even still had the carboard insert in the drive to protect it during shipping. I scoured the rest of the store, hoping that maybe some games came in with it but found nothing. I'll have to check back later in the week.
Haven't booted it up yet, but the condition is amazing - not a scratch or mark anywhere. Also, someone had written on the box that it works, so I'm assuming it probably was tested by someone who tried to sell it at a garage sale, then gave it away to charity after it didn't sell. Unfortunately I probably won't get around to trying it out until after I move next month.
Also hit up the pawn shop but came up empty handed - just a bunch of crap PS2/Xbox games that they wanted far too much for.

No finds for me. Spent the whole day converting a Tron spinner into a Discs of Tron spinner for my MAME machine. No hackum up the original and the mods for the up and down work like a champ.
I hope to go out tomorrow but the weather is so cold hardly any sellers are out.

At the flea market today (everything loose)
SNES games:
Pieces
and my first PAL game, Starwing, aka Star Fox in the US.
NES games:
Trojan
Monopoly
Spot
T&C Thrilla's Safari
Rad Gravity
Maniac Mansion (don't know if it's one of the hamster-exploding versions)
T&C Wood and Water Rage (ripped up a bit on the label, but I don't care for once since I've been looking for this one)
Milipeed
And not today, but yesterday I got a Back to the Future in a black NES container thingy as a gift. I was pretty surprised, since the game looked like it was taken straight out of a fresh box, with no fades or cuts or tears or anything, it just...whoa.
Also, bootleg GBA games are hilarious. Today I saw a box for Farily Oddparents that had an M rating

Notice that's not a normal Banjo & Kazooie. I was shocked when I saw it. For a 6.99 price tag, I had to snatch it up. The Stunt Racer 64 (in poor condition) was also 6.99.
That with the GameStop card (I had to renew it) for $23.
