While shopping at the flea market today I happened upon this thing. Weighs a flippin ton. Sucks that the label is shitty but oh well. Can anyone tell me anything about it?
Sorry the pic kinda sucks. The labels are totally clear but the circuit board is all blurry. It's because I used a scanner.

since its for promotional only my best bet would be it was used in a genesis kiosk somewhere. Why it would be so heavy I have no idea. looks interesting though i would like to know about it

It must have been used in either a demo kiosk, or sent to a magazine for reviews. Have you tried playing it yet?

I've played it. It plays just fine, but I don't know if it's different from the normal game because I don't have the normal game. I think it's heavy because of those 4 eproms it has.

they are just using eeproms, so thats why it's heavy, it's 4 256k modules i believe. But don't listen at me, i have no experience in genny carts.

You interested in trading it to me?
P.S. How was that movie "Napoleon Dynomite"? It looked really funny in the previews.

A: Not really interested in trading it.
B: Napoleon Dynamite is a retarded, pointless movie that is also funny as hell.

That is definitely a proto, I used to have one exactly like that one. I sold it to someone on these forums. Nice find!

It is probably a "finished version" proto (or near finished). Or something that was given out for review. I doubt it was in a kiosk...generally kiosk carts used release versions, not handmade carts with EEPROMS.

Thats what I was thinking, that it was some kind of deal that was loaned out to video game mags or whatever for review purposes. I played a little bit of it and it seems like it's finished to me, but as I stated earlier, I havent played the real game.
No, it doesn't say "Sirtech" on the back.
How much did you sell it for, NESMan? I'm just trying to figure out what it's worth.
If someone really wants it, I'll entertain trade offers. No cash offers, and I;m not really looking to get rid of it, but I will if it's a good trade.

I sold mine for around $40 or $50. I think it was classicgamesdepot who bought it.

Just to confirm, yes, the EPROMs are definitely what make the cart heavy (they're EPROMs if they have a UV window on top, EEPROMs don't have this because they're electronically erasable), because my Sonic 3 EPROM cart is quite heavy, and it pretty much seems to match the general layout of your cart. What does it say in the area on the right between the two even chips?
