I bought a saturn on ebay about a year ago and it came without its memory unit. Whatever it is missing I am unable to save games. I am not familiar with any of the saturns features so if you could direct link me to a website (ebay) where i can purchase one of these memory units I would really appreciate it.

just put in a new CR 2032 battery in the back!
There is a flap you can open on the back and a battery goes there!

nothign more than about £5, the saturn has a built in memory you see for saves! the memory card is just if you run out or wanna back saves up!

There doesn't need to be anything in the port bay or the cartridge slot. The bay is for stuff like VCD cards, MPEG cards, whatever they're called, and the cart slot is for stuff like additional RAM, modems, Gamesharks. You can buy additional memory for saving (this goes in the cart slot) but the Saturn has internal save RAM like the Sega CD, and it's not really necessary.
Just pop open the flap on the back and replace the battery. Easy as cake. :)

Radio Shack has the batteries for a couple dollars a piece. CR 2032 is the product number. Looking at the back of the Saturn, on the right side is a little door, open it up and switch the battery. Basically, as soon as you remove the battery, all saves are lost, but since yours is dead, no worries.
