How do I override the requirement that I put the cd in my mac to play this game? As into computers as I am, I have no idea how to do this.

I think they're usually referred to as "cracks" and you can find them on the shady side of the internet ("astalavista," p2p, etc.). Be warned: they can fuck your shit up like in a car crash, as many are .exe's or whatnot and are put there with malicious intent as opposed to actually allowing you to play the game sans-CD. Being as you're on a mac though, I'd assume that's not a problem for you, but I'd also assume that they're harder to find for mac games (both of 'em :P ).

Hope that helps.

EDIT: I hates me some bad grammar.

I got my no-cd from gamecopyworld (google it), works fine with my retail discs. Dunno if they have a mac version or not though.

Use either Disk Copy or Disk Utility (Disk Copy was integrated into Disk Utility in 10.3) to make a disk image of the CD. That way you can just double click the disk image file, which will then mount on your desktop like you had put in the original CD. That way you don't need to dig out the actual CD when you want to play, and it saves wear and tear on your CD drive.

Let me know if you need more help with this, since I have done it before.
