I tried it last night.
It's... ok... at best. The main problem is that framerate is too low for me. I tried running Mario World which was bearable, but I'll stick with my vNES for now until this program is improved.
Oh, and I tried Mario RPG (best game ever) because FX Chip support is claimed, yet, it froze on the opening screen (the one after the Nintendo/Square logo appears).

The requirement of vSun Symbian 1.0
- Nokia Series 60 (3650,7650,N-Gage,N-Gage QD,6600,7610,6630...)
* Notice: vSun can't run fast on some of these mobiles

Hmm...sucks to hear that it's so slow. If they ever do make a good, working SNES emulator, I might just buy an N-gage for that purpose alone!

Holy sweet mother of emulation Batman!
Work on the SNES emu for GBA has been coming along nicely, although the sound doesn't work too well (I'm told) I have too many games to play to worry about SNES emu on GBA really -
But this is incredible to see something like this on N-Gage. This is the first step in making the N-Gage something of a portable Dreamcast (in terms of the system still doing a boatload of stuff after the offiicial support goes the way of the Virtual Boy).

Could be because Mario RPG isn't a Super FX game?
It uses the SA-1 chip, not the FX.

Alright, now I REALLY want a N-GAGE. Do you video-game experts think that there will bea price-drop soon? Or should I shell out 150 for a new QD?

Get it from Amazon... I think it ends up costing you nothing after spending the money you get from rebates on a service plan.

Ah ha! That could be it.

GP-32 SNES emu.
:)
really, why get this excited over the N-gage simply because it has a semi-working SNES emulator? go get a gamepark, tapwave, or any of the other HIGH quality emulator laden portables.
Or just wait less than a year to see SNES and maybe N64 emulation on the DS :)
And with the PSP taking memory sticks....well.....yeeeha!

Aye! PSP will be a powerhouse for emulation... simply because its a powerhouse already. Don't waste the money on a N-Gage for an SNES emulator, especially if all you want to do is play Super Mario World (Perfectly good port of that on GBA) DS has SNES potential and PSP has everything potential...
Hmm...psp emulation sounds good to me! 8-)
But...how would you open it on the psp from your memory card? I thought you can only open music, movies, games, and pics?

a. Because i have both a GP32 and N-Gage!
b. Because i dont carry a GP32 around with me, like i do N-Gage (phone)

Amen. My QD might not outperform everything else, but it's by my side 99.9% of the time.

The thing that does my head in about all these emulators is,.. No fricking sound!
I can't play Sonic without the ring sound, or Altered Beast without the music...
I can now devote my Ngage to a life of gaming as I have now just bought an S700i. I wonder if these emulators will work on that... Anyone know?

Check out compatability listings at www.vampent.com (they make emulators).
