All games for the following systems are now $0.99 at all Blockbuster GameRush stores:

Here is my haul:

Clue
Cyber Spin
Daffy Duck: The Marvin Missions
Demon's Crest

Is that store no longer going to carry them or something? Man you lucky bastards. Wish I had this store out in AZ, I'd have a field day in there =D.

nildem

Supposedly the stores will still carry the games, just all will be priced at $0.99 and trade in values for all DC, SNES, NES, and Genesis games will be lowered to $0.25.

If you're going by the GameRush.com store locator, it's very out of date. There are three GameRush stores in my area and none of them are listed.

Hopefully some others on here can get some deals so we can do a trade thread on the Buy/Sell/Trade forum, similar to the Circuit City sale thread.

Not too bad - I checked out a store about half an hour away. Unforunately there wasn't a hole there that wasn't a sports title. Still I ended up with the following:

SNES:
PGA Tour 96
Zoop
NBA Jam
Power Rangers Zero: Battle Racers
Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday

Genny:
Shaq-Fu
The Lion King
The Addams Family
Aladdin

Not exactly a stellar group of games by any stretch of the imagination, but for $9 what the heck.

I'll be hitting that up tommorrow for sure! And people WILL still trade in games for $.25 because of their trade-in deals (like trade in any two games get ANY used game for $9.99...or sometimes it is trade in any two and get ANY new game for $29.99).

Hopefully I can beef up my DC collection tommorrow...thanks for the heads up!

Found at the Rochester Hills Blockbuster between Hamlin & Auburn:

Final Fight
Brutal Paws of Fury
Aero the Acrobat
Super Mario World
DKC 2
Dig & Spike Volleyball
F-Zero
Rocketeer
Jurassic Park

All for .99 a piece. Score! I left behind plenty of SMW as well as a few Crazy Taxi's and Space Channel 5's. There's also a couple loose semi-uncommon genesis games like Zero Tolerance and Warlockl.

Well I went to four last night and picked up around 40 games I guess. I'll post my list tomorrow since I left it at home. This might be YMMV but the 3rd one I went to did the buy 2 get on free deal for me, but it only saved me $2. That store didn't even know about it and was kind of pissed I bought so many games, but at least he didn't have to price those. LOL

The first mostly had sports games and no DC at all. The next, around 2 miles away had 1 DC, 1 NES & 1 Genesis game. The third had the most, but only 2 DC games and the last had less total than the first and only 1 DC game.

They told me that the next sale is something like 5 PS games for $20 or $25. Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure that's what he said.

They are the video game section in certain Blockbuster's.

Here's my haul, not as good as the one I referenced yesterday but I'm happy. I mean $.99 for each one, decent.

Genesis
Marko w/box (R6 :) )
Risk - Complete
Mortal kombat 3 - complete

SNES all loose
Super Street Fighter 2
Earthworm Jim 2
and the find of the day.....

Mega Man Soccer-made the whole trip worthwhile

Although the day wasn't perfect, no NES games, no non-sport DC games and I swear to Christ some lucky bastard was rifling through the PS1 games while I was picking over the $.99 stuff and I saw him pull out a Suikoden 2 with a price tag of $6.99! I thought about waiting outside to mug his ass and leave $7 in his pocket, but there were children present.

Hey, just as a heads up, Gamerush also has 2 other deals going on right now. The first is the buy one used, get the second at half-off. There are signs for this all over the store. The second deal is not as heavily advertised, and that is the trade-in 3 used GC, PS2 or XBOX non-sports games and get any new title for $29.99 plus your trade in credit.

I went crazy today stopping at 5 Gamerush stores and 2 Toys R Us for the 70% off all clearance items. It works to your benefit if you use the two sales in conjunction with each other. Here's what I mean. Toys R Us has several games marked down to $5, including XIII for the PS2 and Rallisport Challenge for the XBOX. Additionally you can pickup Turok Evolution (XBOX) for $2.50, Mojo (XBOX) for $3 and Primal (PS2) $4.50. Primal and XIII will get you $5 in trade, so you make even money there. Turok will only get you $1.50, so you lose $1. But Mojo will get you $5 trade-in at Gamerush so you'll make $2. So I bought 3 Mojos at $9 plus tax, $9.50 total. Got back $15 in trade, and $20 off Resident Evil 4 new. So a $50 game cost me $24.50. I did the same at another store and got Star Ocean Till The End of Time for roughly the same price.

My other Gamerush finds:

Dreamcast - all complete except SA2 The Trial
Xtreme Sports
Star Wars Demolition
Sega Bass Fishing
Coaster Works
Incoming
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
NBA Showtime - NBA on NBC
Sonic Adventure 2 The Trial

Genesis
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean machine - complete
Bubsy II - complete
The Ren & Stimpy Show - complete
Road Rash II - complete
NHL 95 - complete
Sonic & Knuckles
Phantom 2040
Blades of Vengeance
Super Baseball 2020

SNES
Super Game Boy adapter
Urban Strike
Desert Strike
Super Star Wars
Super Return of the Jedi
Super Godzilla
Super Battleship
Phantom 2040
Big Sky Trooper
MTV's Beavis & Butt-Head
Bugs Bunny Rabbit Rampage
Judge Dredd
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat 3
Populous
Battleclash
Pitfall the Mayan Adventure
Disney's The Jungle Book

NES
Pac-Man - Tengen version
10 Yard Fight
Ring King
Bad Dudes
NARC
Solar Jetman

In addition to RE4 and Star Ocean, I also took advantage of the Buy One Used Get the Second 1/2 off

Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island (GBA) complete $9.99
Bomberman 64 $4.99

Final Fantsy Legend (GB) $9.99
Megaman Xtreme 2 (GBC) $4.99

Pocket Bomberman (GB) $6.99
Snowboard Kids (N64) $3.49

Lastly, they had a mint PSone for $19.99. Gonna head back to TRU tomorrow and pick up a Sony LCD screen for $35.

Total haul: 49 games and one system. I'm busy for a while.

California Games
Top Gun 2nd Mission

Nothing to brag about, but 5 for $5 (actually I got 50% off one of the nes titles) is always a good deal in my book. SNES section was picked through like crazy...about 30 sports titles and ONLY sports titles.

Nothing really spectacular, but still quite nice.

They had a Genesis for $10, but I did not get it. If SNES is really $8, then that is not a bad price.

Whoops! The N64 games were NOT .99, prices have been added to my post (Indiana Jones was $6, SW:Racer was $5 and then was half off). From what I saw, loose N64 games were $3-$6, while boxed ones were between $5-$10, and then anything with Mario or Donkey Kong or Picachu was $13.

The most frustrating part of this sale has been dealing with the anti-theft lock boxes on each one. Today I bought 40 games. It took two clerks over 5 minutes to remove them all. Yesterday I joked, "you have a lot of theft in the .99 cent department?" Today I commented to the clerk that the lock boxes are probably worth more than the games and he just laughed. For GB/GBC/GBA I understand it as those things are small and might walk away, but just how much anti-theft deterrents does GameRush need for ther SMB/DH carts?

Genesis games by far were the most plentiful, with probably 1/3 of them being boxed and 2/3 loose. All the NES I found were loose. I think overall I found less than 10 SNES games (all sports) and 10-15 Dreamcast games (all sports).

I will have to make the rounds again next weekend and see if they are refilling their stock or if this is a "once they're gone they're gone" type of deal.
