were is the hug and kiss filter when you need it?

This is my point of view, ignore it if you will:
Hunting is not a sport, you are killing defenseless animals who have done nothing to you, and yet, you don't even eat the fricking animal after killing it.

I'd like to see how people would react if they knew someone was hunting them down with a rifle.

I agree! People who derive joy from killing need to have a hunting accident....badly.

He's talking about a FRIGGIN GAME, PEOPLE! x_x

I would if I knew. I don't. I was just sticking up for the guy because he did'nt deserve to get the comments that the two of you made to the original poster. :hmm:

I have no problems with controlled hunting. It is necessary to keep populations from exploding (which has been a big problem with elk over the past few years out at home). If there was no hunting, the animals would die of starvation, disease, or from a forced cull. I personally don't hunt because I am not a fan of wild game meat (it is too fatty).

I was under the assumption that every hunter *eats* their catch. I live in NC, and trust me I've met a deer hunter or two, and they all eat deer meat. I couldn't do it (kill) personally, but that's just me.

Why don't you start a new thread whining about Duck Hunt?

Safari Hunt for the Sega Master System gave a greater variety (than Duck Hunt) of fuzzy critters to shoot IN THEIR DELICIOUS HEADS with TASTY BULLETS. Other than that, I dunno. Observe that as the media started squealing about realism in video games the more abstract gun games subsequently became for the home market.

I came across a wild turkey shooter arcade game in some gas station in a lonely coastal town in North Carolina but weepy SUV moms don't care about that demographic for some reason.

Riddle me this Sonic Carrot, are you a vegetarian?

Bug hunt for the Atari XL/XE.

You can also get a stand alone system at Walmart or Target. It's basically a rifle shaped light gun you use to hunt deer on the TV screen. It simulates most aspects of deer hunting: in map mode you scan across the screen in search of deer sign (deer droppings) until you sight the deer. It teaches gun safety at the same time: while in map mode it makes sure you keep the safety on. When you are ready to shoot it reminds you to take the safety off. It's not a game you can quickly master as the targets are far away and appear small on the screen. My brother-in-law has one and I played it a couple times. It was fun.

Hmm.

I have 2 cents. I think I have played the arcade game in question here. It is basically no stealth or reality involved just digitized shooting game animals. Unlike duck hunt it is a bit graphically realistic. And all you do is shoot things.

Not something a real hunter would enjoy I don't think. Unlike when I play Sierra's Trophy Buck with a Bow and arrows where you could spend hours just trying to get close enough to a deer.

But yes it is only a game but it won't get any more quarters from me.

I saw it a week ago at the store nearest my house. It was in the toy section where all the All-in-one video games were located. I don't remember it's name, sorry. The next time I'm in Walmart, I'll check it out and write down the name and price.

It's true. If they didn't kill them, we would be hitting them with cars, or they would starve. We have to accept is as a fact of our imperialism of resources and such. I really wish the hunters would make use of the body in every way possible if they don't already. I personally agree that I would never want to kill a living thing, but there are people that do it, and we unfortunately need it.

@Optic_85: I was at Walmart today and found the game. It's "Buckmaster's Deer Huntin' 2" and it cost $49. Don't confuse it with "Deer Huntin' 3" which does NOT play on TV - you use the LCD display on the rifle instead.
