I want to customize one of my online profiles and want to use videogame icons and sprites to spice it up.
I want ones where you can simply cop and paste the image url right from the website instead of DLing them all. thanks!

Last I checked, i think http://www.vgmuseum.com Sprite Rips for SNES, NeoGeo and Arcade... also just a really fun site

I snatch images from large sites like IMDB, AMG and other information-intensive sites when I write reviews for my page, but in turn I give a link back to those pages. I think that's fair, as my corner of the web goes unvisited anyway, and it's a free linkback. Whatever. I understand the point of keeping people from doing it though, as most of the time it's a simple upload to imageshack and you're good to go (which could be argued in my case too).

Someone stole a sig from me awhile back. Not only did he take the image, he hotlinked it. Thus, I replaced it with a large, offensive (on several levels) image with text applied to it encouraging him to be banned. i'd post the before and afters but...I like being here. ;)

I didn't go that far. But I like it.

When someone did this to my "Pedophile Mario" images (Remember the picture of Mario running from Bowser carrying a very young looking Princess?) I replaced it with this one. Later I checked the page it was on and all the comments had turned into "Ha! You got in trouble!"

My job was done. 8-)

It'd be easier just to turn off linking to my site, but then I couldn't put sigs on all the forums I go to. So I just have to keep on my toes. And this was back when I was hosting my site from my computer at home! So it was also stealing my Comcast bandwidth!
