Just how rare/valuable is this thing? I know it's worthless in most respects, but I'm admittedly curious.

"I love the Power Glove...it's so bad."

It's worth about R3/$5.

What I've allways wondered -- how did this thing actually WORK? Was it only worthwhile for a couple of games like Punch Out? Did it really enhance the game play any? :)

The Power Glove is worth it just for Super Glove Ball. The premise is quite interesting. Picture a 3-D sort of Breakout game, with tiles lining the 5 walls that you are facing. Using the glove, you move an on-screen glove around, throwing a ball at the blocks. To catch, simply "grab" the ball. To shoot fire balls from your finger tips, extend just your index finger and blast away. After clearing the tiles off of a wall, you can move through it into the next room. The game has a TON of rooms, assorted powerups, a bunch of strange enemies, and some hidden stuff here and there. If you can get ahold of this game, then get the Power Glove. Otherwise it's only worth it for the weird collecting value, since it doesn't seem to be very well suited for games that used a normal controller. But Super Glove Ball is very, very unique, and worth playing the way it was intended.

if you like having splinters stuffed up under your fingernails then i recomend using the power glove. If you don't have the instruction book on how to program the glove it's useless. And if you Nes starts "blinking" you have to re-program the glove all over again. Oh and you need the rods that go around your TV so the glove knows where the edges of the TV are. after all that if you still want to use it have fun. You could beat punch out with the controller before you get the glove set up to work right.

A friend of mine had one when we were kids...he didn't have punch-out or glove ball.

I remember we played a few games with it on night, Spy Hunter being one of them. I guess we figured out how to program it. Anyways, we had alot of fun with it, but both agreed it was totally useless.

If you're man enough to own the dork glove, and willing to shell out the few bucks for it, i'm sure it's fun for a good 20 minutes.

The best use for a Power Glove is as a component in a home VR rig.. there are drivers that allow you to interface it with a PC. They' don't work that great, but if you compare the price to that of high-end VR equipment that's used for the same purpose, they start to look a whole lot better...

I wasn't aware accessories were in the guide...thanks for the heads up! While I'm at it (and hopefully this isn't too off topic)...are the consoles themselves in there as well?
