I can understand the desire for these things. All (or at least most) of the benefits of the original console withough having to set up a second console to the television.

That's not too bad a price for that thing. I've seen these go for up to $100 in the past. Bear in mind that it will play any region game on any region console - Brazilian, European, Japanese or US. Not only that, but this converter will also play chip-locked games such as Alien Soldier and Mega Man: The Wily Wars, which the vast majority of Megadrive converters will not play!

OK, now I want one. I seriously doubt that my Game Genie can do all that.

The Game Genie is OK ... there is usually a code that you can use that will play most games. I had a code that would let you play Yu Yu Hakushu (another chip-locked game) using the Game Genie. But it was a real hassle tapping in that huge long code every time I wanted to play the game!

Plus the game genie is BIG .. when you've got that in the top of a Nomad, plus a game jammed in the top, you have to watch yourself going through doorways pretty much ...

I bought that same cart without a box of ebay Australia for $10USD (i think) just before christmas.

I couldn't believe my luck, and i also managed to get a CDX pro fully boxed for 18ounds from ebay uk. Expensive, but still worth it.

That's pretty cool that a switch mod is not even needed...not the most common adapter, so that price is a steal, imo. I think I've only seen these once before, so I totally forgot that they even existed.

Oh, and I suppose I should mention that this auction is actually an example of the price coming down rather than rising.

I sold one of these converters a coupla months ago - admittedly alongwith a copy of Alien Soldier. But even if you take the price of Alien Soldier off this auction, I think you probably end up with a whole lot more than $50 for the Nitro 2 ...

I looked up that Alien Soldier, I'm really suprised I've never heard of it. Is it awesome? I think I'll see if I can get a good price on one.
