I have some cabs and superguns so I buy arcade PCB's now and then. There's this arcade vendor that I'm trying to buy some stuff from near me. He just doesn't seem to care at all. I gave him a list of PCB's I was looking for over 2 months ago. Everytime I call up week after week he's either not in or hasn't come around to looking at the PCB's he has. And when he's not in the person who answers the phone will ask if I can leave a message and when I do the guy just never calls back. Finally after over 2 months I call him and he goes what was on your list. WTF. I gave him the list over 2 months ago and now he's asking me what was on it. He goes through the list and I told him to hold stuff that I like. And then it's back to square 1 again in that whenever I call he says leave a message so he can call back but never does. Arcade Vendors have the worst PR and customer service ever. Do any of you have horror stories as well?

That's not a horror story - that's par for the course. :)

You've got to realize that a lot of these guys really have no incentive to go dig through their warehouses just because you want 5 of their 1500 boards. Time is money, and it's a waste of their time.

If you can go there and bring cash, that will get you a lot farther than bothering the guy on the phone.

you are 100% correct . most vendors could care less unless you either show some $ or spend some big $ .
