question for half-life 2 players

hey guys i was playin for a while yestarday and im escaping on the hover craft thingy, but now when i load my games i get the message at the bottom of the screen - A.I. Disabled and the enemies freeze....anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

I can't say I've ever encountered this. If it's a bug, a Steam patch should fix it eventually. Unless, of course, you aren't playing it on Steam (which would probably mean you're S.O.L.).

Not sure what the problem is, but you should make sure you have updated video drivers from your video card manufacturer's website, not the one's from Microsoft's Windows Update (they are out of date).

BTW, what video card are you using? Is it possible you have the settings turned up too high?

Yeah..I have heard of this error..

It comes up from one of the early rips of the game from one of the many Pirate organizations...meaning...you sure you have a legit copy there?

Anyway, so as to not turn this into a legal issue...(I don't care...it isn't my puter your running it on...).

You need to activate the command console in the game. Once you have that figured out..there is a command you type to turn the AI back on. But you will most likely have to do this everytime you load a game since you said that is when it occurs.

If you just start typing AI in the command console, I think it will start to show you different commands for it in a smaller window below where you type. Then you can sort of pick and choose at will. Some of the console options you just put the word "on" or "Off" after them. Some you use the words "Enable" or "Disable" and some just require the use of a "1" or "0".

To find the exact command just search the web for HL2 cheats or console commands and the one for the A.I. should should eventually show up.
