ok i know how to play a dvd on my ps2 but how do i use it's dvd rom function??

That's funny, DVD ROM is a specific function, it is added content specificly designed for use with a PC, 99% of the time your not missing much if you can't access "DVD ROM" material so don't sweat it...................................

but the ps2 can access those dvd rom screens and i wana see them and neither of the comp's in my haouse have dvd rom's

That DVD-ROM stuff is written almost exclusively to run on Windows - won't even work on a Mac equipped with a DVD rom drive. Sorry, sounds like you're out of luck.

it can access the bonus features, like deleted scenes and whatnot, but anything with web content or games or whatever is usually win32 based, meaning, incompatible with the ps2... the only console i'd say would ever be capable of that would be the xbox running windows ce through mods.

that's what i'm saying those hidden menu's and stuff that's for dvd-rom only can be accesed by the ps2 i'm simply asking how to get the ps2 to show them cause right now mine is only acting as a dvd-video not a dvd-rom and yes there's a difference

You can't use the PS2 to access the DVD-ROM stuff. You need a windows computer with a DVD drive.

Hidden menu's and the like those things that are found by clicking on "hidden" spots, or by button pushing are accessable thru the PS2 as they are ANY DVD player. Do whatever it takes to access it normally, just on the PS2, and Poof its there.

The rom exclusive stuff needs a PC to function. There is no way for you to go and take your dvd that has screen savers and shit like that to even show up on the PS2. Try to access it, the dvd will just say no.
