I know little about famicom games but I do know that the JP version is not rare like the us as I have seen it on ebay several times for very cheap prices.
From what I remember thats probably about what it goes for. dont trust me on this though.

After shipping, I would say you got a pretty fair deal for a boxed complete game. Probbaly a little better than average depending on the shipping method.

10 fishhook things sounds like a bargain.

Not too bad, but yeah it's just the US version that goes for the money.

That box looks so cool.

I see you bought it, congrats! I'm looking forward to seeing a pic of it in your game room in a finds thread when it arrives!

20 bucks for a complete sfc game which is CT, granted not as sought after as the american release is still a cool thing. I believe there are slight differences between the domestic NA release vs. the Japanese one.

still nice buy though

It's worth about $15-20 US tops. Very common. It's just the US one that's rare.

The ??? are simply replacing the native japanese text.

Or so I believe. :)

still a cool find reguardless if its us or jap, but yeah chrono just had more of a demand over in the eastern side of the world so there more abundant so always expect a japanese counter-part to be cheaper

Well, in the case of Final Fantasy V, there's a translation guide you can use over at gamefaqs.com. That's how I made my way through it. Not sure about Chrono Trigger, though.

Not a bargain but not a bad deal. Nice condition. The boxart is to die for, classic Akira Toriyama goodness but I might have missed it...did it come complete (with trading card, mail back (green) card, etc) ? Still a must have in any sfc collection.
