Let me first start off by saying....never ever buy pelican screen protectors for your DS.

Today I decided to take my screen protectors off and put on another set. Well, to my suprise when i took the top screen protector off, there was a sticky film all along the side of the screen. Its not on the screen part itself, just the black border around it. Can anyone give me any ideas to get my DS clean?! @_@

Have you tried Goo Gone? It's available at most places that sell cleaning supplies. (Wal-mart, etc)

Spray some WD-40 on a rag and it will rub that sticky residue right off.

Then just use some Windex and clean the screen the rest of the way off.

You can use a rag , but just use a soft one. Like a CD cleaning cloth.

I use Kleenex tissues also when I'm on the road with no soft cloths. . They are very non-abrasive .

careful about mixing chemicals ;) ..also let it sit and soak for10-30 sec before rubbing it off
i think you should try it out on some other stuff first..just in case

if you got one of them cloth for cleaning(glasses/sunglasses) they work really good with windex

WD-40 gets the sticky residue off anything.

I use it on Saturn and PS1 cases where there are stickers from price tags.
Also I use it on Nes and Snes and Genesis boxes with sticker residue. It won't take off the color.

Just spray it on and rub lightly with a cloth and the sticky stuff comes right off.

Been using it for over 3 years now with nary a problem.

Be careful with windex. I know you're not supposed to use it on computer monitors because they have an anti-glare layer on them that the windex removes. There could be a similar situation witht the DS, Im not sure.

Be careful with WD 40....oils are not good for plastics at all.

Goo gone could weaken the glue holding on your lens, so I wouldn't reccomend that either. Try a lightly damp soft wash cloth with a little bit of soap. Rub very lightly. Then , use a non soap wash cloth to get any excess soap off.

Where do you guys come up with this stuff ?

Like I said , over 2 years of a LOT of use on plastic and not one problem.
This advice comes from experience and not what "other" people say.
