Did you read all of the question or just what is displayed?

Here is the whole question, and I doubt he sent it to himself because it is a Nigerian scammer question...

***Hello seller, i saw your item much inevitable to what i need as gift to my customer(s)i will like to know the working condition of this item. I will also like to know if you could gift wrap the item for me, coz i want to present it as a gift.and i dont mind making an additional $100,I'm ready to make the payment right away,on buy it now price/reserve price for this item,I will handle the shipping charges with FEDEX account (which is cheaper for international shipment) as the item is to be shipped to them in Africa. For faster transaction and immediate payment, kindly provide me with your full name and contact address,Quantity Available, for the immediate payment, i will be making the payment via western union auction payments (BidPay). Moreso i will like to ask you, will you be able to ship the item as soon as your fund is Confirmed & approved by western union auction payments?just because is item needed urgently. Best Regards.***

It was his response and the wording of it. I don't know why I thought of it that way. I caught the scam, but both the question and response have the same feel.

yep thats a genuine question from a genuine thief !!, get them all the time when you advertise small expensive electrical items, mobile phones, digital cameras etc.

they use stolen credit cards etc to pay for items, get the items sent to nigeria usualy..

yep, it's a scam. Be wary of anyone that wants you to send stuff to africa and /or pays with a moneyorder.

Yeah... it's his mastery of Engrish! that made the question and the answer sound the same. LOL After reading both i too thought it was the same person answerin both! :/

Quite!

It makes me laugh at how many people on eBay can't speak English, and it shows when they are writing out their descriptions!

The worst have got to be people from Hong Kong! Every other GBA game listing seems to be a dodgy Hong Kong one these days, and it is apparent within seconds of reading the description!

I answer your question now, Gamereviewgod, yes? It answer good. I will be answering your question above in perfect English if I no understand. Thank you bye.

I have been targeted in this type of scam. It sucked, I allowed the person so use my buy it now, which was cool but when it went bad I ended up with ending fees.

Since then I have thought of a good way of dealing with this. If you played along untill they give you their FedEx information and then sent them a really heavy box. I have a bunch of extra bricks laying around my garage. I hope this comes up again in one of my auctions so I can burn them with some really high shipping charges because of the weight of the bricks.
