I won this the other day:

Do you guys think I overpaid? I personally don't think so, but wanted to get opinions. I have been holding back on getting a boxed complete original gameboy for awhile, and just said what the heck and got it. Still waiting for it to arrive, but I am just excited to once again have the portable that started it all!

No, I don't think so. Game Boy stuff always seems to hold a high value and add the boxes to that and I think that's a fine deal. Its hard enough to get an original Game Boy game loose at one of the big chain stores for less than $10.

Finding Boxed Gameboy stuff is really hard...

I think it was a good buy, since it's in such good condition and complete.

Not bad since you got the battery pack too (although doubtful that it works)
But, I've seen sealed original GB go for around $75-$80 so.......

Oh man, that package brings back memories. Too bad I don't own any of it anymore --v. Seriously, I'm a pack rat when it comes with video games and systems, but when it came to the Game Boy, I used to trade in the old system and a couple games to contribute to the new update (i.e. Game Boy Color). Man I regret it. That battery pack is a P.O.S. though even if it does work. 8-10 hour charge time for 8-10 hours of gaming... man the early 90's were brutal!

It's a bit more than I would have paid,, but if you're happy it's a great price. The boxes do look to be in great shape. I'd say the battery pack is harder to find in the box, specially in that condition. Good find!

Yeah, getting the battery pack definately added to your good deal!
Well, original sealed ones in the small square box might go for 75-80, but not the box that he won his in. The bigger action pak sets (I think that's what there called) go for around $200+ usually. I happen to have one of those too!
