Now ... leaving the price aside - what the hell is going one with that box / manuals and cart biz?? Japanese cart ... Japanese manual and Genesis manual .. and a European style box with the European Megadrive logo .. but with Japanese text on the back??

That has got to be the most mix and match game ever officially released, if it was indeed released like that!!

In Europe yes, in Japan ... not really. Which is why so few copies of the Japanese version of this game exist, and hence why it is so rare (although I don't think it is really worth £400 tbh)

The PAL version of the game can be had for £10 - £15 ... and is almost certainly identical in every way, gameplay-wise

It's the same story with WWF Raw. For the tiny numbers that were released, I guess they just tweaked the Euro boxes very slightly (or is the Japanese text possibly on a sticker?) rather than print a whole new batch for Japan.

heh, i was watching that but totally forgot about it.. I didnt think it would go that high actually (jp stuff rarely does) but i guess you werent the only one to spot the carnage cart.

Never mind tho ... good win. That mega key cart is probably worth a fair bit too. Not as much as Carnage though.

Ah well .. I've got a Japanese Virtual Bart cart only, which is just about as rare, if not more so .. I'll settle for that :D

Actually, I got my Virtual Bart for less than $20 ... from ebay too! That said, it was hidden in a fairly non-descript bundle with a bad title and terrible description.
