View Full Version : Jay Tilton - You are the man!
Jay Tilton - I don't know who you are or how to contact you but you are the man! I was just about to dump my Intellivision II because it didn't come with a power supply and they are impossible to find (which seems to be a common problem). I stumbled across his website which said quite colorfully that you don't need a special power supply and it listed several alternatives, one of which is the Atari 5200 power supply. Needless to say it works perfectly. Whoever you are thanks!

what he did'nt tell you is that within 72 hours your system will explode.

Do you have any information regarding this or are you just talking out your ass? I'm being serious here. The man insists that this will work perfectly fine and it seems that he's right. Do you have any conflicting information?

Well I don't see the need for sarcasm here. If this works (and other power supplies are also listed as compatible) this is a major boon for Intellivision II owners. Those damn power supplies are impossible to find. And you see tons on Intellivision II's on ebay dirt cheap without power supplies because nobody can find them. I would think a classic video game site would welcome such information. I guess I'm wrong...

I'm pretty sure he was just kidding around and didn't mean any harm by it whatsoever.

I was so happy when I found my Intelly II in the wild with the original power supply. It only had one controller though.

Why would you post something that might make someone think that this very usefull information is not only wrong but possibly harmful? That's not sarcastic, that's moronic. Sorry to be so rude but that's just how I see it.

So you really thought your Intellivision was going to explode?
Do you happen to have one of those gas-powered Intellvisions? :)

Explode no, overheat and burn out? Yes.
I just don't understand the need to post crap about something that might be useful information to others. I know I spent alot of time trying to find an alternative power source for my Intellivision II. I guess instead of posting helpful stuff we need more "I hate Sony" and "Halo 2 Sucks" messages. x_x

Hrm, the comment on an electrical system exploding should hint sarcasm. Electrical appliances don't explode. Fry... yes, but not explode.

If I meant it was going to burnout or overheat I would have said so X_x
And I thought of my reply as a free bump because this topic did'nt get any responses.
Anyway lets end this here before we get out of hand. Your intellivision II is NOT going to EXPLODE if you use the power source you speak of.
Jay had found a few NES protos several years ago.
