Like a game that people generaly bash around for being very bad. Sound off.

For me it was Back to the Future. It is a good game. Yes it does have its problems, but i like the game.

I'd go with these games: Bram Stoker's Dracula, Captain Comic, Darkman, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Swamp Thing, Wolverine...

Friday the 13th.

No one likes it, but Jason scared the shit out of me whenever he appeared while playing it.

I would also have to say Back to the Future. Though, the "Glitch of Doom" really ticks me off when I play it. I don't know if it is just me or not, but with my copy there is a truly evil glitch where I will be walking and then I just die for no reason. I was actually playing this game about 3 days ago and I was like 2 street levels away from the final area where you drive the time machine. Well, this glitch kept me from getting there cause it kept killing me and I eventually ran out of time and lives. I like the game otherwise, though.

Another big one I have so say is Deadly Towers. I honestly don't see why this game is thought of as one of the worst NES games of all time. I personally love it to death. It has a very in depth storyline to it, which is very impressive for the time. The music is very fitting and gives me the feeling that I am almost in this fantasy world. Overall it is one of my favorite games on the NES. It is VERY hard, though. The final boss is one of the hardest bosses I have ever played against.

Jaws is another that I find fun that a lot of people seem to hate. It is actually pretty unique for its time.

Legend of Kage is another. The fast pace of the game is good, and I like the music, too. Demon Sword is even better than Legend of Kage, though the music isn't as good, IMO.

I can't really think of any others at the moment.

Super Pitfall. I got this game as a gift when I was a kid. It was so hard that I could never get very far (and by "so hard" I mean "the gameplay and control were so fucked up"). I still enjoy playing the game for the nostalgia factor, and because I really think it could have been a good game if they had polished it a little bit more.

I always hear hate for zelda 2, but I loved it.

Other good examples would be Sky Shark, Sky Kid, and Battletoads & Double Dragon, which no one seems to really like all that much.

Bart Vs. The Space Mutants and Bart Vs. The World. I didn't get too far in either one, but I had fun with them.

Eliminator Boat Duel.

Micro Machines + Rad Racer + boats = Eliminator Boat Duel.

I love that game.

Deadly Towers- I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I love this game. I think it's the air of mystery that surrounds it. You never really know what's going to happen or where you'll end up next. There's really nothing quite like it.

Kid Kool- It's basically a game about jumping really high and praying that you don't die, but for some reason I find it fun and addictive.

Monster Party- I love this game. One of the best and most original platformers ever created. I guess it's just to crazy for most people.

I too would have to vote for Deadly Towers. It's good to see some love for this game lately on the boards.

Seanbaby is an asshole anyway.

One Christmas a long time ago while filling out my "wish list" I told my parents that I wanted nothing but video games! They asked which one I wanted the most and since I couldn't get enough of it in the arcades, I told them that Double Dragon was the one I wanted the most. So fast forward to Christmas morning as I am tearing open a present, it feels like a NES game, it's shaped like a NES game, sure enough it's.....Dragon Power :/

My parents weren't to keen on spelling/details apparently. So anyway this game that most people consider to be terrible holds a (now) fond memory for me. Pretty difficult to figure out what you were supposed to do, or where you were supposed to go but I liked it.

Yup, Friday the 13th is a good game. I think most people who play it don't understand what it's all about. They walk around outside for a few minutes then get raped by Jason and turn it off thinking "man, this game sucks". It is a very challenging game and requires a lot of thinking and planning if you want to make it through the three days.

My pick for this category is King Neptune's Adventure by Color Dreams. I love everything about this game from the box art to the general theme, even down to the play control and level design. But I have never ever heard anyone say a positive thing about this game.

Another one that comes to mind for me is TMNT II: The Arcade Game. While the actual arcade game is better than the NES version, it's still one of the better beat 'em ups on the console.

How many people have played Orb 3D? It's probably the closest thing to Pong on the NES.

Heh, I've had that game since I was a kid. I was never all that found of it tho. I remember the game would always freeze on a specific stage (like 22 or something I can't remember) so I was never able to beat it.

Bart vs. the Space Mutants and Bart vs. the World.
IMO, both are fun games to play, but need a chance to play (especially Space Mutants).

I also have to say Doble Dragon III, many seem to call this one the worst of the NES DD-games. Yes, the game is already difficult at the start, but with practice you're sure to proceed further and get the other two characters to play with.

I'll agree with you on Space Mutants. For some reason, I got into that game enough to play it constantly and eventually beat it! Trust me, the Power Plant isn't as painful as the Museum stage.

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii... also still kinda enjoy T&C Surf Designs. No, I don't know how that one got in my collection, but... well, there it is.

Most of the sequels....Zelda II, Mario 2, Castlevania II. But also Bart vs. Space Mutants, Star Voyager, and Stinger.
I don't know what is is, but those game just have that certain something for me. I can't fully explain it.

I have to go with Jaws as well. Tons of gamers consider it a horrible game. I think it's pretty fun actually, just REALLY SHORT!

For me, Hydlide and Amagon (and just about all games mentioned in this thread so far). I have played and enjoyed (GASP!) both games all the way through to the end - MULTIPLE TIMES. I'm a weird one, so...

SMB2, LINK, GOONIES, and FRIDAY THE 13TH!

ALL favorite games of mine that most people don't like very much, if at all.

I'm sure that most people like Link and SMB2. They may not be as popular as the original games, but that's something different.

Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum

I loved that game in all it's slow paced glory.
