View Full Version : Gameboy Player timer function?

I just got a Gameboy Player for the GC this weekend. I bought it used from a craigslist posting. It works great, but didn't come with a manual. A manual isn't really needed, but can someone please tell me what this timer function is for?

It's simply a timer. Say you are a parent, and your kid wants to play Zelda - Minish Cap, but you want him to go to bed: You pick up the controller and set the timer for 30 minutes and say "okay, you have a half hour."
Simple as that, and really, that's it.
GB player is the best thing to happen to the GB family.

It doesn't kill the game though, it just goes "it's been 30 minutes" or whatever (if I'm remembering this right, I used it once to try it). Kinda kills the point of it being a timer for the kids, but who knows. it's a nice feature to have the option of using though, you could like...start cooking something and play some pokemon. Or something.

I'll recap the frozen pizzas.
1)Time: 1130pm.Forgot to remove cardboard from below pizza before baking. SHIT!! FIRE!!!
2) 2 am. unwrapped pizza, removed cardboard, coupon stupidly stuck BETWEEN pizza and cardboard was frozen to pizza. SHIT. FIRE!!!!
3) Unknown time and i simply forgot it in the oven. Come upstairs to billowing smoke and a jet black frisbee. SHIT!!FIRE!!!!
