Didn't Policenauts see release and a sequel on Saturn?

I think that Ghost in the Shell qualifies as cyberpunk. It was a PSX release.
Skyhammer on the Jaguar, and perhaps FreeFall 3050 A.D. on NUON. Those are more action games though.

Neuromancer(PC, C64, etc) is the Grandaddy of them all! Well, maybe not exactly, but it's pretty damn good.

In fact, Home of the Underdogs has a listing of games from the "Cyberpunk" genre. I'm sure that you'll find tons on there:

Im surprised no one has said Syndicate for the PC or Syndicate Wars for the PC & original playstation or even Johnny Mneumonic (which was more faithful to the book than the HORRID film of the same name). Also Deus Ex is right up there. Oh and Fear Effect is another one. It closely resembles the Blade Runner world to a certain degree. X-Kalibur 2097 for the SNES is another one as well.
I dont know if I would consider Ghost in the Shell or .Hack as cyberpunk. It just doesnt have the feel of a dark future like the William Gibson novels. Admittedly, I've a bias against most anime but I assure everyone this doesnt affect my opinion of those two games. Im basing on what Ive read in various novels and comics of the genre.
Im very glad no one put down Enter the Matrix. Blech. Just as bad as the movie.

theres Neocron which is a MMO not to bad
but the best ones would be blade runner, shadowrun, and hell: a cyberpunk thriller....
syndicate wars was pretty cool

SNES- Shadowrun
Genesis- Shadowrun
There's also a Shadowrun game for the Japanese Mega CD by Compile that's completely different than those.
And Delphine Software's Flashback(various formats) is an excellent action/adventure game. I would say Out of this World too but I'm not sure if it counts as cyberpunk.

What he said. Beneath a Steel Sky is darn good, in particular. (AI Wars looks pretty interesting, though.)

While that was a fun, fun goddamned FUN game, I dont know if that fits with the genre. the cartoon from the early 70s (late 60s) as well the remake, the live action movie and comics were far from bleak.

I guess you can count Zeiram: The Animation for the Super Famicom. Intresting game, great anime. On another note, was there ever a RPG Console game based on the tabletop RPG game "Cyberpunk 2020"?

Oh man.. Cyberpunk 2020 was an awesome tabletop rpg. I tried to get the go-ahead for making a PS2 demo using Shadowrun as a template but WizKids shot me down.
I'll just probably work on something based on CP 2020 since that's considered as "literary abandonware" or something.
here is a posting I made in another board...
===============================
give me your thoughts. Obviously I'll be removing the fantasy elements from the game and instead I will focus on the cyberpunk parts. William Gibson, Blade Runner, Johnny Mneumonic (not the movie, but the FMV computer game).
Anyone who follows this genre be it in movies, literature or games... please give me your feedback.
I will see this demo to the bitter end http://forums.g4techtv.com/messageview.cfm?catid=22&threadid=332603&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE=
