Thoughts, memories on this game?

I rememeber the first time I played it I was just amazed. The swooping camera angles are breathtaking but also functional and practical. The graphics were great I thought and the atmosphere was like none other at the time.

I really enjoyed this game (only have played the Saturn version)

Anyone remember what a bitch levels 14 and 18 were? I must have died about 50+ times combined on those two levels! Also, the end boss was DIFFICULT.

As for the ending, it was cool. Be sure to wait until the VERY end... you'll be treated to a special treat... (not sure if PSX version had this feature)

End boss didn't seem that difficult, just had to be accurate in your jumps when those fireballs came at you and with the aiming of the gun. The game did look nice and some of the music was intersting, like the boss music. I never did finish the sequel on PSX. I wish I could see what a Contra game would be like using the Pandemonium style engine, 2D with the 3D twists and turns. :)

An evolutionary step from 2D to 3D platformers. A team of great developers behind it (Toys For Bob, the makers of Star Control II). A female protagonist with refreshingly normal breasts (although she was inflated for the inferior Bob-less sequel). And a decent paycheck (I wrote the official strategy guide).

I have it and the only memories I have are from turning it on watching 30 seconds of the opening cinema, and then shutting to off again.

If its a good game I might play it someday.

Someday..........

Both Pandemonium games were solid. They weren't the most original games but the control and overall feel were done right.

Ha ha, yeah, my only experience with the game is having it for my N-Gage. It reminds me of Clockwork Knight (Saturn), unless CK is actually a copy of Pandemonium.

Wow, you're missing out. It's easy to get into, not plot-driven so you can easily shuffled it in the playing mix NOW and still have as much fun with it as possible. 22 levels, password system, about 5-8 hours gameplay. Easy to sit down with and play...

My friend just gave me his PC copy of this game, and I'm loving it.

Yeah, I like CD, too.

They also had Gex on PSX/Saturn. I think that's a pretty overlooked game that's kinda good.

Also, I might be the only one here but I absolutely LOVE Slam N Jam '96. That game rocks!

I got Pandemonium for the PS1 and I can say it's a nice game. I don't like it as much as the first Crash game but it's ok. It's been ages since I've last played it, I remember that I've never finished it but I I can't tell where I am exactly in the game.

What a bizarre timing, I just had the NGage one traded in at my store, bought a variant of the PSX version that has demos the original print run didn't, and logged the guide book into my excel file the other night.

Fun game.

This game always sounded pretty cool. I played N-gage demo once and liked it. I'll pick it up if I ever run into it!
