I was at my local EBgames and noticed they had a new copy of Ikarunga (that gamecube shooter game) out. I went to the register and found they had 2 sealed copies for 25 dolllars each. I heard that this game is rare, so I was wondering if I should pick up the two copies? I also found a new copy of Disney sports skateboarding for 30 dollars. Is that worth it?

I see Ikaruga from time to time, I don't think it's rare. I'd say buy one of the copies, open it and play it.

id just try and find a used copy and use your Edge Card at EB if you have it for 10% off the used price
its a great game though, no doubt about it
if you do get a new copy, open it up and enjoy it

For a sealed copy that's about an average price... nothing to out of the ordinary though.

I enjoy both of those games but I find they should be going for about ~$15 now. :/

One of my local EB's has a brand new Ikaruga for $15.99. How can they still sell it at $25?

Too much, you can probably find a good condition used copy for cheaper. Great game, not rare if you ask me and worth playing.

EBs are really strange when it comes to their pricing. Here's two quick examples:
Went in one, saw Xbox Legacy of Kain: Defiance marked for $5.99. Bought it.
Went to another less than five miles away, saw the same game for $29.99 still.
Went to that first one again, saw 1080 Avalanche new for the GameCube marked for $9.99. Rang up at $49.99. The manager called the DM to see what to do, and she said that I changed the price tag on it (which I most certainly did not, and the cashier knew I didn't...), but since she was convinced I must have done that, they didn't discount it.
I went to the other EB games and walked in and it was there for $14.99.
I seem to get that a lot. I tend to purchase any game that interests me even slightly for under $10.00, so I always comb through what EB has to see if anything is discounted. I have been to four different EBs in town, and I see different prices on stuff everywhere. I have three or four times had it ring up for totally different amounts only to be told that it is really the price marked. Same thing going the opposite way. It's very strange to me that their system isn't updated better...

A lot of the time it's just because EB doesn't change their price stickers. Their prices change so often that it's not feesible to go around every game in the store and check them all. It's very common to see a pile of the same games all with different price stickers on, sitting in the same store. Sucks but all you gotta do is get a price check done. They a centralized system (I assume they download a new price database every day) so all the prices in the stores SHOULD be the same. I say "should"... lol

At GameStop, their system (unless it has changed recently) prints up a list of price changes for the day. Then the employees go find those games and change the prices. It's done, and you know how much games are.
I'm just sick of people at EB looking at me funny when I bring up games for a really cheap price. I'm only interested in the stupid game because of the price tag, and I'm not bored enough or immoral enough to change the prices myself. I have way too many games as it is...
