Imagine the shif tin the industry if this did happen- Nintendo and Sony sorta working together again. That's relaly leave the X-Box out in the cold so to speak! I'm gonna wait to see if this story is true or debunked at IGN or Gamespot myself.

In somewhat similar news, have you all heard the rumors that Nintendo will be buying Capcom? If this is true we should hear something in the next week or so.

Although it would be cool to have some games featuring all types of known characters, I don't believe it for a minute.
And I hope Nintendo does not buy Capcom.

If this was true, I would think we'd be hearing about it on the likes of CNN and such--this would influence more than just the production of a couple games. Investors in Sony would be very interested indeed. So until it is, I for one say its total bunk.

Bah, just checked a few other sources and it looks as though this is just another hoax.
I have heard about the Capcom buyout, but it's really 50/50 in terms of believability, although it is interesting that many market insiders and analysts seem to think it may be true.

Kobunheat confirmed, it's false. It basically combined a bunch of conspiracy theories. It said that Sony was to pay Nintendo 20 billion over 20 years for the playstation name (because of the joint effort back in the early 90's), and that they would use the money to create a new dev. house with joint efforts between NCL, Namco, Capcom, and a host of others, with a cross company Smash bros. game leading the pack. Way too good to be true.
