Hi,

Can anyone tell me about this Atari 2600 system I came across? Let me describe it for you: It's completely black, save for a metallic silver streak across the front that sports a rainbow-colored stripe. The system is significantly smaller and sleeker in design than the traditional units (almost aerodynamic, unlike the systems with the faux woodgrain finish). This leads me to believe that it was produced much later, possibly late 80's? Although I don't have any familiarity with the 5200 or 7800 systems, I believe this was Atari's attempt to re-market the 2600 with the big boys. What do you folks think? Is this a sought-after/rare system? What would be it's relative worth? Should I get it?

Thanks,

Jon

Oh and as you can see it's not really worth more than the others.

Around $18-25 for the system and hookups.

I bought one from the DP forums, in the box, packaged with 20 games, for $20.
