I live on long island and I have yet to come across a good flea market let alone a good thrift/game store. My wild finds depend upon goodwill and salvation army. I was wondering if any of you know of any good spots to hit up here, I live in Bellport.

Not sure where Bellport is, but in Bellmore and East Meadow there are stores called "Video Game Connection" and they're pretty good, but they DO charge what games are worth, so don't expect any major cheap finds. Games for newer systems are easy to find since there's about 25 Gamestops and 10 EBs here, but you already knew that :)

As a fellow LI'er, let me tell you. We have jack-squat as far as fleas and thrifts go. Your best bets are garage sales. That's where I find all my stuff.

yeah theres one flea that I know of but its one hell of a drive.

My best find in a garage sale would be mario kart snes for .50
and 3 nes, 3 genesis (2 model 2 and one model 3) with some hook ups, controllers, 3 common games for $5.

My best garage sale find was a Sega CD frontloader attached to Genny 1 with over 10 games including Sonic CD and Red Box Night Trap for $65. I was so happy when I found it, too because Sega CD was one of those toys I always wanted as a kid, but never got. I'm trying for a complete Sega CD set now.
