So after reading some glowing reports about how much people loved Mario Golf: TT, I decided to try it again on my Cube. I played through another round by only pressing the A button and finished 5 under par. I had two bogeys, and seven birdies.
It wasn't exciting.
I've heard people raving about this game. I really like a lot of golf games, but this one just seems too simple to me. What's the deal? Can someone tell me what I'm missing and if it is worth playing on with, or should I just give up? For the people that love it, what aspect do you love?

I enjoy this game alot. If you get bored with Tiger Woods games and simple golf this game is fun, the areas are the coolest part. I love the enviorments. I am not a big golf game kinda guy, I think that is the kinda people who this game is aimed towards. People who look for something a little more exciting then regular golf.

Keep playing it. Trust me, the courses will get harder. Well, actually, for me, it was more like every course was easy until I got to the Bowser Cup (or whatever the last one it called). I swear, some of those courses are IMPOSSIBLE!

I wasn't too thrilled with this game either.
Everyone was saying how amazing it was and everything.
Glad i bought it used... and cheap.

Best GameCube game, hands down.
Play it more, obviously one round isn't going to be fun, because like any golf game, it gets frustrating if you aren't good at it. But you can't honestly expect to be hitting like a pro after your first few rounds. I couldn't imagine the GameCube library without it.
Pick up the GBA version and upload your characters for even more fun.
Just pressing the A button is easy mode, because some people complained that the controls were too hard in the first game. If you use the advanced controls it's a bit more challenging and a lot more fun. And the first course isn't that great of a course to base the whole game off of. But like all the Mario sports games I find it much better to play them multiplayer.
